I always knew there was a reason that I would rather have Barq's if I were getting root beer. My wife likes their red cream soda. But we can't get it around here.

However it is still less than a regular soda... 1.9 mg/oz vs. 2.8 - 3.2 in a regular soda 5.8 in Pepsi Max

I'm alright, still kind of sore and if it wasn't for this week off I'd probably be crying so at least I don't have that going on.

No, you don't, Jim. It was a fun idea. However, from personal experience, I believe someone will be dinged for being funny or honest or both. Again, this is from personal experience. Your "out of context" idea could (and should) be quite funny. I just don't believe some members would feel that way. Sorry, just my thoughts.

 

Yay! safety feature on washing machine over-ridden. Can get clean clothes without wasting time at the laundry mat.

Then you could just strip the name of the original poster from the quote, ie:

 

I totally see your point. And have had the same experience.
But if we don't allow ourselves to not be taken so serious sometimes, and laugh at ourselves, it sucks the enjoyment out of life.
I'm sure the thread will be monitored as well as any other by our crew of outstanding Mods, and any material that is questionable in intent will be rectified.
I do truly appreciate and see the concerns, and am not offended at all, just kicking myself for jumping the gun and starting the thread on a whim instead of simmering on it awhile as I usually do.

No need to apologize. It can get out of hand, we are talking about Homo Sapiens interacting in an anonymous, text-only web forum where body language, facial expressions, and voice tone and inflection are limited to a library of smilies, which sometimes get ignored anyway.
I'd like to think the folks wanting to be malicious wouldn't go through such hoops to quote the post.

I do hope it takes off, as it has great potential for humorosity

 

I thought about that, would keep it somewhat anonymous, but thought the ability to go back and read the quote in it's correct context would be beneficial

Gah, I'm halfway between wanting to enjoy this coffee I just made and wanting to go back to bed for an hour.
The problem is, it'd be two hours and I'd be late for work.
