JoAnna, it is a matter of principal. I did not get to see the comments that were deleted, but why not just delete those comments and let everyone know that a slanderfest will not be allowed. Locking the thread like that reminds me of something the shave police on the other site would do. It just disappoints me, JoAnna......

 

so I spent a little time and tracked down the bakery that made that mario wedding cake. Unfortunately they are in cali but they said something could be worked out when the time comes. Cake is going to run about $5,000 which is less then I was expecting. I think the lady thought I was crazy when I said the wedding is in a couple of years.

 

You are correct about the banning part. Across the street, that would have happened. I will not repost it, but hopefuy Sparky will unlock the thread. It would be the decent thing to do, IMO. But then again, I am old, bitter, and have always hated authority.

That cake will be the least of my expenses if I do get married in disney world like the plan is. The only problem is paying for everybody's hotel and flights will be a pain in the ass. What I might do is have a little disney wedding with the family and some really close friends and then throw a big reception party 3 days later in NY.

 

Apparently 'amputate' is not a good solution to every painful problem. Who would have thought...

Cold but sunny here today. Supposedly it's gonna storm again later. Man it was grey, cold, rainy and windy yesterday. We don't get much of that here so it was a nice change of pace. And like a jolt of serendipity, my new uniform cold weather coat I ordered back in Sept arrived yesterday. Just in time for the nasties.

 

I appreciate it, JoAnna. This is a neat site, and I would hate to have to use my cyber-light saber to vanquish it...........

I understand entirely. While I have come a long ways since getting my truck, you won't hear me claiming to be an old pro. :happy102 Just driving without stalling, or even driving smoothly is not perfecting the skill. I just misunderstood what you were saying. I won't ever discourage anyone from learning to drive a stick, in fact I do what I can to encourage it.


Rolls, I think the joke needs to be dropped. Just because it didn't break the rules doesn't mean that he doesn't have the right to be offended. I thought it was in kind of poor taste myself. I think that locking the thread was a good idea just to stop a huge argument from resulting. We can still read it if we choose. Lets just move on, no hard feelings.

 

Well it is my Forum and I say no, do not repost it. Bobby is the one who took it off the OP and he did so for a reason. I will talk to him about it, if he puts it back he puts it back. Reposting it would be a slap in the face to him and me. I am sorry it got deleted, I did allow it at first but it caused too much back and forth.
