If I had more energy, I'd fry me up a bologna sandwich. Need to grab 40 winks instead. Hope all you night owls have a great morning!

never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever ask "how much rougher can the seas get?".....even when you already know the answer, just don't make the mistake of asking anyway - trust me.

Well, as an older, more mature heartless prevert, I went back and rewatched a Bond film for the first time since it first came out on video. Yes, that's right, I revisited Timothy "The man who nearly killed Bond" Dalton as James Bond.

The Living Daylights was a far better movie than I remember. And truth be told, Dalton wasn't terrible as Bond. After having read some of Flemming's books, Dalton actually comes across more like the Bond of the books than some of the other, more popular, movie Bonds have been.

I think what really hurt Dalton was that he wasn't as charming as audiences were used to nor was he as amusing. He had tough shoes to fill, coming in on the heels of Roger Moore, who, like it or not, had been playing the role with tongue planted firmly in cheek. The problem was, the writers' tone was sort of Moore-ish, but Dalton was playing the part more Daniel Craig-ish. I firmly believe, if Dalton had the scripts that Daniel Craig has gotten, he would have been more popular as Bond.

I still wish George Lazenby had gotten to do more movies, though.

yeah, it wasn't as bad as I remembered when I watched it again awhile back...still not my favorite, but better than my recollection had me to believe.
I agree with your assessment, though. A different scripting probably would have suited him much better
