howdy folks, heckuva day so far....

yeah, we did too. power flickered a couple of times, but never went out.
My mom said the winds were extremely bad south of town, so I knew work was going to be bad this morning, she lives about midway between our house and work.

Got to work, power was out at all three campuses, said school would be delayed til 10.
Power back up about 9ish, but I've just now got the internet back up....haven't even told the office foks yet, had to post in HYD first! :happy102

you know, actually, that could be a good thing, right? I mean, my wife JUST started grad school this semester, and you know, she means to study, and do well, and pass and excel, and perform her duties honorably, but just because she's only just started and HASN'T ACCOMPLISHED A DANG THING doesn't mean they can't go ahead and giver her her master's degree now, right? RIGHT?

Here is some good news:

A wire that goes back to the trunk was frayed. It caused the computer to not know if the neutral lock was working, and the transmission error.
$150 is much easier to deal with than I expected. If only I had known, I have a whole pile of wire nuts.

Years ago, I realized that my students were the same age that I was when the Challenger exploded. Now I am working with kids that have no memory of the Columbia either. At least the Columbia happened in their life time

Might I add that parrot bay key lime Run and cheapo generic diet coke is just not that bad at all... Y'all come over I got Rum diet coke (cheapo) and a big pot of cabagges smothering on the stove.. (not all mixed together though.)
