IMHO, it is patriotic to question the way things are, and discuss how to make things better. Chances are he had problems with the previous president, does that make him un-American?

Sorry, I don't mean to start this conversation and then step out, but that is as involved as I can get here.

eh. if faulty logic makes someone un-American then I'm in big trouble. and like Rodd, that's as involved as I'll get AND I happen to be sleepy and headed to bed. Night all!

Well put Mike, and I agree 100%. Politics and religion are 2 no win topics anytime they come up, just look how tempers flare and feelings get hurt whenever the topic of blade choice comes up, much less something that is as polarizing as politics and religion.

    yeup.
I feel there is a certain level of political and religious talk that can be very beneficial, I have learned a lot by venturing into those threads I'd decided not to delve into.
The problem occurs when someone thinks they can persuade someone else on an online forum...

I've had many of my views refined by such threads, "as iron sharpens iron", and thus have benefited from such.

I don't think it's ungentlemanly to disagree, debate, or even argue, as long as said disagreements, debates, and arguments remain participant-neutral, no attacking another persons views, convictions, or momma.

I've no idea what's been said since my last post in there. I may venture into that one again later just to see.

I'll still participate in those discussions and threads, same as always, share my two cents and be done.

I feel we've gone too far in "just don't say nothin'" attitude in some cases, and too far in saying too much at others.

But if enough people get convinced "it's better to not say anything", that's when those laws and policies that seem so stupid to the average intelligent citizen get passed, because some special interest group made a stink and too many people held to "don't say anything" mantra.

hey, who put this soapbox under me? I wasn't up here to begin with!

That's not good, is HRC feeling ok?

I'm tired as usual, but no complaints beyond that.

I've never seen that girl act like she doesn't feel ok. If that makes sense.

Went to a couple pet stores today looking for fish. Jenna has a flinching/scared of reaction to dogs (and a couple words. ie- gorilla and horn.) that is totally inexplicable. Anyways, one store had an itty bitty puppy (not sure what breed) small enough to fit in one hand, and Jenna did her flinching thing, and eve gently pushed the proffered puppy away. But when it was time to go, she wanted to go back in to look at the dogs again. Explained we were going to the other pet store, and she was fine.

At the other pet store, we were checking out when a guy came in with a rescued greyhound. Jenna actually asked to go see the dog. Ok. So we go, catch up with the guy and ask to approach. I know greyhounds are very friendly, calm dogs, but asking is always the safe thing to do. Jenna flinched when she petted the dog, but later she said he was her favorite dog she'd seen today. :love029

I love greyhounds. This one was blind in one eye. From glaucoma I believe the guy said.
