evening folks. just wanted to report that the generic drugstore boar brush calvin gave me for my birthday comes close to outperforming my $35 pure badger C&E brush. It doesn't hold lather as well as the badger brush, but doesn't miss by much.

I am really, really surprised in a pleasant way.

Glad you think the same as i do. That thing is 6.50. And mine has not had a shedding problem. I was hella surprised. Glad ya like.

what brush is that?

 

it didn't have a label on the brush or on the package. I think it's just a generic boar brush. It's basically identical to a VDH boar, except it has a blond wood handle.

 

woo hoo.... sounds great. So any idea what the brush is? nevermind... I guess you don't

Just finished cleaning up a Swee-do (I know, I hadn't heard of them either). Too bad it is a proprietary blade. ugh!

 

I think I have one of those...

 

Mine shed some this morning, but that was the first time its been used so some shedding always happens. It wasn't many bristles so I'm thinking that'll be a one time event.

 

There is a picture of it in my SOS from the other day. Just a plain jane wood handle.. smaller then the VDH
