You know, I'm conflicted over this. On the one hand, I'm glad she called and got herself some help before she accidentally killed someone, but on the other hand, wouldn't it have made more sense to just pull over and sleep it off? Some people are just monumentally stupid.

hmmm, perhaps misread that prophecy was....

 

you know, it's obvious that when you're non-sober, a person doesn't make the best of decisions.
and even when you come up with a good idea, or have a rational thought, the ability to problem-solve is diminished substantially.

she realized that her drunk driving was a problem (good, rational thought)...sober person's next thought would be "I gotta get off the road, it's the best course of action, I won't get arrested, hurt, or hurt someone else."
then the idea to call for help is a great one - perhaps a family member or close friend?
oh yeah, that's the problem, she's inebriated! the only phone number she could probably remember is 911...she probably incorrectly dialed it several times, too! ....while driving ....drunk

Forgot to mention this yesterday, but I loved that Cookie Monster/ Shining combination. Hil-ar-i-ous, mainly because my son loves the CM and watches him so much that I'm a little sick of him. Although I do think that Shelley Duvall is over-reacting a bit. :happy102

Well you know, we used to have that morning radio show...

The Hairball and Kinky Show! on KLZY 92.5, which mostly consisted of noises of bodily functions and incessant giggly at our own jokes. You know, typical morning radio, but then one of us mentioned that we could read, and the station shut us down. "Too cerebral" they said.

 

...then somebody said "there's something wrong with your medulla oblongata", which led to a couple of body slams and legal issues

ya know, I wish this wasn't so close to the truth. All the radio stations in the area have gone to a morning show format. The only one that's okay is Walton and Johnson and they're pretty hit or miss.

...and then the fight started. I'm guessing this happened before you ever got onto the topic of shaving and entered the eternal "cartridges and canned goop suck" argument.

Yeah, but I think it was your "Would you shave your small tree-chewing mammal for $50?" segment that put the final nail in the proverbial lid.

I figured after a night in the Hospital..... which does not have any internet service for the rooms.. It would be a bit harder to catch up.

Woke up early Sunday morning hurting like a whateveryouwannacallit. Fought it all day thinking it would go away.... finally at 230 Monday morning went to the local ER. Was in yea ole operating room for 1130 said morning to have the appendix out. WOOHOO. Now at my Mom and Dad's place to recover a few days. Getting around good, very sore I might add but other then that not too bad. I think I can skip the pain meds for now.


Jason I got the Contour and the AS in. Thanks for that. I am going to try shaving with it in the morning.
