not quite... I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get my land legs and why I couldn't hear the alarm clock well...

    unbelievable....

this funny looking white stuff is falling from the sky, kinda like rain does, but slower.....
I've heard about this stuff...legend has it that young humans enjoy it, and mature humans are 50/50 about it.

Legend also has it that it has to be very cold for it to happen, and when you live in Texas, there's an even hotter place (if you can believe that) that must freeze over first....

Well, my Saints won the Super Bowl, so that's a very real possibility!

any of you gents (and gentesses) heard of/tried Greek yogurt? I just read about it about 1.5 weeks ago, and wondered if I'd ever see it around my neck of the woods....lo and behold, our local Wal Mart has it. Only in plain, but that's okay by me.
It's thicker and richer than what you're probably accustomed to, but it's good stuff. I may be spoiled now.

The "standard" yogurt in the US is actually my least favorite. Greek or the European style stuff you drink are both better IMHO.

other than just finding the Greek style, I've not had any others, but, your post did bring something to my attention to fix....

Ok gang, I've got high speed at home now so I can join in on all the evening shenanigans, and every time I've had time to hang out, HYD has been deader than William Katt's career. What gives?

well, seeing as a very large portion of HYD's most constant chatterer's are no longer visiting, it's a lot quieter, sadly enough.
The 5-6 of us that do still frequent are typically on different schedules.
And my evenings here lately have been packed.

yep. my whole world's out of balance. Saints won the Superbowl... I find myself watching the skies for winged pork.

Evenings are bad for me. I usually crash not long after I get the kids in bed. HYD doesn't get moving until hours after that. And when I am available, which is the morning usually, then nobody's around.

I have been seeing Oikos in stores for a while... but haven't tried it. What I can't find anymore is Kefir.

Yup... same here. I've been busy in the mornings and haven't really had anything to say...

I guess I can go back to:..

Morning everyone... its still cold and there is still snow.. Big whoop....

I ordered a shirt from woot.com... (nobody really cares... I would just be typing to type)...

I dunno.. just felt like it was getting to the point where I might as well be twittering...

I am sitting in my chair procrastinating...

I am now chewing on an altoid...

    I am still procrastinating grading...

I am going to go get some more coffee and chew another altoid....

Seriously though.... Tom, Dom.... any pen people still around? Bad Blue Heron (Noodler's Warden series) keeps drying up in one of my pens. Have you heard about that problem or is it just a weird fluke?

Haven't tried any of the Bad xxx stuff. Wouldn't surprise me to hear of Noodlers having an issue (it's happened many times) when Nathan gets it right, it's great. I stick to Legal Lapis and one of the Blacks; otherwise, I use Diamine or vintage Quink.

It's time for some movie mashup fun!

Ben Stiller plays a guy who spends the night in a museum and has adventures with 6 inch people, talking statues, and a playful dinosaur skeleton... and he's on heroin.

Explains a lot if you think about it.
