Wow, it's been a year?

A pox upon the people who engineer the bumper music on morning radio.

I was listening to John Boy & Billy's Big Show this morning and they lead in from a commercial with the opening chords of something. It's one of those really distinctive sounds that you can almost hear the rest of the song in the back of your head, yet you can't quite place it. It's very frustrating. If I could remember the song, I'd look it up and listen to the whole thing.

I'd describe it to you, but I doubt typing the sounds out would have great effect.

Just discovered the resynthesizer tool for Gimp. That thing is pretty darn cool.

 

Micah, regarding the Simon Cat video. One of our cats sleeps directly on my wife's head every night. He is similar to that cat in the video.


Got to be an extra for a TV show filming here in Chicago. 14 hour days sitting around for pennies. what fun it was though.

Wow. Just wow. You guys are awesome. I Need You Tonight might just be the right riff. It's been long enough now that the sound is gone from my head, and I'm not sure if that's it or not. For some reason though, I'm thinking I know it from a different song that uses that same (or a similar) riff.

 

I'm just impressed as hell that the song could actually be identified by the information given. When you think about it, that's like, "I can name that tune in no notes at all" :happy102

I'm almost that way with movies. I've been known to flip on the tv and catch less than 15 seconds of a movie (that I've never seen) and been able to identify it. It used to creep my wife out, at first, but now she just rolls her eyes.


*and more than just a few idiots, I'm sure.

 

Don't get me wrong, I'm a trivia freak with a head full of useless crap, I watch Jeopardy daily, and having spent two and a half years in Iceland, I've seen damn near every movie ever made and had I heard even the first 3 notes, I could likely identify that song but jeez, that was impressive.

 

Just heard it again on the radio this morning. I can now, 100% confirm that it was, in fact, INXS Need You Tonight. You guys win one whole internet for being able to figure that out based off my crappy description.
