    Ah, very nice. I'm procrastinating.

Really need to go to work for a few hours today. Want to go shopping for shoes and antiquing instead. :think002

Is it really in the 70's there?

(...yes, I'm stalking you via weather.com)

Yes it is, mid 70's, nice breeze, no clouds.

    Same as you?

    Ha!

It's mid-40's here today, but no wind (at last) and nicely sunny. I should get out and enjoy it while I can. (<<<---Self-Enabling)

I here ya, easier said than done. We need to get the lawn picked up and mowed, then pull the grill and smoker out of the shed.

Momma wants some pulled pork this week.

    hmmmmhmmm grilled flesh... yummy...

Just got home, went to autism art display in Crown Point (between my location and Bills --- closer to me). Had an overfilling lunch at Golden Corral, waddled through an antique mall and now am ready to sleep in the open air.

mid 40s in April? You gotta come South.

We're doing the red meat thing tomorrow. I am sooooo looking forward to it. Yay grilled dead animals! To quote one of my friends: "If God didn't want us to eat animals then why are they made of meat?" Indeed.

We made BBQ baked potatoes for lunch today with some leftover pulled pork we got in our quest to find a good barbecue joint in South Bend. It was decent, sauce was really good but the meat needed to smoke longer. Moonlight BBQ, it ain't.

Now watching some BOXCAR (oops, I mean NASCAR) racing, drinking a beer, and waiting for the pizza. Yeah, we're eating late tonight... lol

Went to the local Goodwill store today to drop off some flotsam, and peruse the jetsam. Well, as always, TWGW got sucked into the book aisles and I followed suit. We really do find some good books in there for a buck or less. Anyway, they had a paperback copy of a book I just dropped 15.00 for about 2 weeks ago. Ugh. Picked up a copy of Ray Bradbury's Illustrated man, and a Christian adventure story set in Rome shortly after the 1st Century... then, I came across the most unexpected thing...

    wait for it...

    wait for it...

Victorian Porn!?! In a Goodwill? I couldn't believe this made it to the shelves--they're usually so diligent about only putting out "clean" stuff at our local Goodwill.

Of course, I had to buy it--it was only 1.00.
    :D

The Illustrated Man was one of the first SF books I encountered, way back in about 1968 or so. I can recall being fascinated by the cover and savoring each story.

It's strange that you mention it, Micah. I've been thinking about picking up a copy for several weeks now.

I'm glad you recognize my obligation to duty. Turns out Victorian porn isn't too far removed from modern porn. I flipped through it just to see what it was all about, and was quite surprised to see a few modern slang words peppered throughout. Should be an interesting read.

Yeah, since I've become an active commenter on LH, io9, and Giz, I've started checking them all frequently.

The local bigLots had the movie in their $3 bin recently, I might just have to pick it up. Then it's off to the tattoo parlour to get some ink to commemorate the occasion. ;)
