The comments on Youtube were pretty funny, too.

 

ya know- I get your point about the IP abuse. I'll never be able to look at that scene the same way. Until I forget. Which according to my wife will take me about 10 minutes.

Seriously, my wife would kill me for making such a public declaration. She really doesn't get star wars anyway.

 

Okay, a little background first, over on Gizmodo, they posted a cartoon about time travel.

Well, some guy in the forums made this comment.

Though that link will show you my response, I'll share the image portion with you now, which is really the reason I made this post-- just to show off something silly I did.

I just posted an entry on my trip last week if anyone is interested. Not mentioned in the post, though, are a few things that might be of interest to you guys.

First off were these handmade bowls. Students at Van Buren made the bowls and are selling them for $15. The proceeds from the purchase goes to charity. Those look like they might make pretty good lather bowls.


Then, there were these awesome little pipe-cleaner action figures. I took pictures of the whole line-up, but one figure stood out, and I couldn't help but share it.

 

As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!

A) wow, that was random!

B) sure they can, with sufficient thrust

 

German class was working on animals and somehow the topic of whether or not turkeys can fly came up. I have been asked about 20 times now in the last two weeks whether or not turkeys and ducks can fly and if its true that polar bears don't hunt penguins.

7th grade unfortunately....

For some reason they think Turkeys can't fly, polar bears live off of eating penguins and many of them are seriously arguing that duck's don't fly. I guess they must walk south/north each year.

There are enough wild turkeys in the area that they should know better as well. Honestly, I don't know what has warped their understanding of the natural world. I blame texting and cell phones.

 

text and cell phones is only part of the problem; video games, lack of responsibility placed on them (fault of the parents), state schools pushing [slash]bastardized[/slash] [slash]indoctrinized[/slash] standardized tests, etc. is separating the kids from the real world and common sense things

folks hunt up near y'all, right? They've never been duck hunting? Turkey hunting?

Cell phones and that text stuff are definitely to blame.

 

Well... its been one of those weeks...

heating up the griddle and gonna head up some bologna and make some grilled cheese and ice cream sandwiches.. got beer in the freezer... all will be good in about 20 minutes.
