Well, as you may or may not recall, my wife sent a letter to her sister explaining her concerns and outlining the issues as she sees them. This was almost 2 months ago.

Today we got the response.

I'm not going to go into it all here, but just remember us in your prayers and thoughts

 

rayer Request:

My daughter's best friend was kicked in the head while feeding their horses yesterday evening. She was airlifted to Little Rock Children's Hospital in an induced coma. Don't know much else at this time other than skull fracture, but a large powerful horse to a 9 year old's head is not good.

Was all dressed this morning and fully in the breech of another day of being a happy idiot and struggling for the legal tender. Then I realized that yesterday was so attrocious that I needed a mental health day, so I took one. Kinda quiet, not much happening but ya know, some times you need that. Besides, anything I really had to prove to the world was proven a long time ago, when I was fully committed to being impressive, young and aggressive. Sometimes you gotta know when to say when. I doubt that 30 or 40 years from now when I'm on my death bed I'll be thinking, "You know, I should have spent more time at work."

 

When choosing tomatoes for a tomato fight festival please remember that red means go and green means no.

thank you for the thoughts and prayers ya'll. I'm aware of Micah's dilemma, it's not pleasant, and the only confirmable update I have yet is that the horse may have actually not kicked her, ended up somehow stepping on her head. Her dad was out there with her, but did not see it happen.

 

ooh. that's an important distinction but still doesn't sound good.

 

it actually seems it could be worse, with fractures all around instead of localized area; of course, if it were a kick in a localized area, the intensity of damage could be much more critical - 6 one way, 1/2 dozen the other type of scenario
