Speaking of squirrels... I had one land on me yesterday. No seriously... I was walking the dog and a squirrel scurried up a tree. While jumping from branch to branch... it missed, hit my head scurried down my front and plopped down inches from the super excited dog.

I don't know who was more surprised... the squirrel, myself, or the dog.

 

Justin, Dude, my two year old is pissed at you right now!! She just got orange juice spit in her hair!

1) Such things actually happen to me.
2) I forgot to post about it until almost a day later.
3) Such a thing actually fits in with all the other insanity in this thread.

huh... it is working rather spastic. I wonder if it is linux and java/flash compatibility issue of some kind...

finally got the new phones from Fed-Ex. Wow.. a one page user manual. Fully charge phone before using... great.. now how am I supposed to know when it is fully charged? There are no lights and the screen just says press here to activate your phone. But my one page of directions say to not press that until after the battery is charged. Huh...

 

On my Android phone it takes a long push of the power button to fire the phone up, a momentary push of the power button while shut off and charging brings up a charging display, four animated bars filling up a battery icon that shows charge completed when done.

 

Thanks - that works great on one phone. The other phone won't shut off. I tell it to power down and then it powers immediately back up. Hmmmmm... time to google it.

 

Yeah mine did that too when we first got ours, IIRC there is a setting for power on while charging.


EDIT: Found it, go Settings>Application Settings>Development>Stay Awake

 

Thanks will try that after things are activated. In the meanwhile, there is an LED that finally turned on and according to online manual should go red, yellow, then green as the charged builds.

 

Maybe, I was kinda going by Android OS in general, not sure what is phone specific.

 

Makes sense - I figured you weren't trying to give me Ally or Droid 2 specific directions.

 

I got five dollars that says Justin will kill that phone in less then two months...:happy102
