Hmmm, very interestingish....BumpTop has been acquired by Google...

Anyone ever tried BumpTop? I did on a whim several months ago (man, I love Ninite.com!), and found it a pretty cool program. I won't go into the description of it, as A) it can quite easily Googled, and B) it's not available anymore, well, currently anyway - but remember, Google acquired it, and I'm guessing they plan on adding some awesomesauce to Android tablets

I made a lightbox last night. Cardboard box, thin white fabric, posterboard, clamp shop light, and some box tape.

It works alright, but I could probably use one more clamp light.

Hey, how would I go about getting a still frame from a video on, let's say, youtube? I googled it, and got lost. HELP!!!!

 

You could use print screen and just crop out the other stuff in paint. That would be the easiest way to do it.

 

I tried that. For some reason it does not work for me. I might just be too stupid or whatever though. It happens.

 

oh yeah. that paint tastes nasty. got shot in the mouth (I was wearing a mask, so no pain) the only time I ever tried the sport. owner took pity on me and gave me a coke to wash the taste out. still spent the evening spitting out stuff.

are you using Firefox? There's an extension called Screengrab! that is great. You can right click on a web page, and the Screengrab option is in the list, you can either copy or save, and choose entire page, entire visible page, or a selection that you choose by clicking at one corner of what you want, and dragging over to the opposite corner.
If you choose copy, it's just like if you right click and copy, or screen grab, in that you open your photo/image editor of choice (paint, etc) and paste and edit.
If you choose save, it brings up a dialog box that you name the file and where you want it without editing (right then, anyway)

 

Yeah, I am on FF. For some odd reason that new Geico commercial with the "Bird in Hand" Antique Roadshow theme gets me laughing every time I see it. Towards the end of the commercial there is a short close up shot of the Bird. I just want to capture that shot. If I can get it captured right, that darn shot is getting blown up and put on a wall somewhere.
