Just tried some witch hazel. Nope, can't use it. My face looks it was attacked by a tanning bed.

    My day...

It's my first day here on TSD
Besides that it's International Suit Up Day and as far as I saw I was the only one who was wearing a suit at the lectures...some people don't even bother...

    Wow.....that's actually pretty freakin' awesome!

One variant could be if they choose treat, they get candy, if they choose trick, you take the cordless drill you brought with you and attach the "costume" door to their door frame, and keep the key to the locked door, locking them in their own home, FOREVER!!!!!
    Mwauahahahahaha!!!!
well, until they go out the back door and take that one down.....

We are going to be spending Halloween in a campground again this year. I don't think I would haul a door from spot to spot. However, I think a fake door set up at the campsite will be an interesting twist!

It's been "leave comfort zone and experiment" week for ol' Jimbo here....in reference to technology use, that is :D (I already know what you're thinking, Jason :D)

Anyhoo, of all the computers I've tried Google Chrome on (and not been impressed at all with to this point), my home desktop was never tried.
So, Saturday evening, I gave it a go - it actually runs much better on it than Firefox or Opera, to my surprise. I've gone ahead and updated it on all the machines I'm in frequent contact with, but I still don't see me using it as my primary. Been intending to make Opera my primary browser, being as I have Opera on my Droid, but haven't made the switch yet. I'm quite surprised there's not a Chrome browser for the Droid yet, unless I've missed something, or the stock browser is a mobile version of Chrome.
I'm hesitant, as always, of doing everything Google, but may fall to the efficiency/streamline/everything convenient mentality with phone and computer symbiosis.

Installing Ubuntu Netbook Remix on my Acer Aspire. I'm rather impressed with the idea of Ubuntu One, this could be good!
Wish my netbook had a touchscreen now :D
The OS options have really opened up and open source is on the cusp of being the king of the hill, what with Ubuntu really starting to offer more services, Chrome OS just around the corner, Android OS just around the corner (technically, it can already be done, but the it's iffy at best), and even WebOS, which HP acquired through Palm (though I don't think it's open source, but it's still pretty awesome).

Highly considering getting a WDTV Live, since it can stream Netflix. Not sure what I'll do with my Gen 1 WDTV, guess I can set it up on the living room TV, since I can stream Netflix through the Wii, and otherwise don't have a DVD or VCR connected to it (insane, I know!), but that means acquiring another external hard drive....no wait, maybe not! I guess I could just stream them from my main backup drive on my desktop, and use the other in the living room - egads! I'm a (in)genious!

Exploring the possibility of dropping my landline and going strictly cell phone, or maybe setting up something with Google Voice for home, anyone else done this?

You could always use Iron. It's chrome with all of google's evil taken out.

I've tried it out, and it's pretty snappy. I like it, but I'm still stuck on Opera. Though, Opera's last few updates have been pretty buggy, so I might start using Iron more.

Now if only we could get netflix streaming on Linux...

Yeah, I was trying to recall Iron the other day when I installed Chrome, but couldn't remember it's name, and wasn't highly concerned with it at that time, but will try it out later.

Hmmm, chrome, iron...what's next? Stainless? Ore? I'd like to see Aluminum - hey, it could be a disposable browser! :happy097
