Okay, I'm catching some ribbing elsewhere on the internet because of this, but we watched an episode of A-team last night, and one of the characters (Dick Van Dyke's son) was wearing this shirt that I thought was pretty cool, and I would kind of like to see if I could buy one.

Now, I know that the shirt doesn't exactly convey a masculine tone, and I'm secure enough to be okay with that. In fact, I feel I'm one of the few men I know that could pull off wearing a shirt like this and actually look comfortable being seen in it. I dunno what it is, but for some reason, I like the shirt.

It's not that bad, is it?

There should be a picture of the shirt here-->[IMG]<--There should be a picture of the shirt here

nope, not needed...I've been having my own frustrations to deal with that had me in not-so-happy place.

However, this is work-tech related. Working on setting up one of the "new-to-us" CDI refurb machines we got, I went to put in our WinXP license, and it wouldn't take it. Had to put in the key that came with it due to sysprep, and since I didn't want to deal with Windows activation, I just reinstalled XP. Well, I didn't fully wipe out the old installation, and just when I had it almost exactly where I wanted for imaging, just had to set default profile, I looked and there were some new directories under docs&settings - all users and defaul users, both normal, but then all users.WINDOWS and default users.WINDOWS.....uh, what?

So, I figured out what that was about, and thought I had it correctified, but when I went to set the default profile, it wouldn't do it.
No matter what I did, it wouldn't work...soooooo......back to the old drawing board, only wasted a day and half.....

    1. I like the A-Team.
    2. I kind of like that shirt, too.

    Just rib back your oppressors.

And I've got the video to make everyone happy (and simultaneously increase the awful video factor that has been prevalent in this thread today).

Keep in mind, Mozart was the kind of guy who enjoyed eproctophilia and loved to tear down "sacred cows" to boot, so he might have actually gotten a kick out of this. Talent =/= taste.

What? I figured using the clinical term would be ok. It's much better than the vernacular, no?

Mozart was a freak. A musical genius--but still a freak.

Things being as they are these days, I thought it might be a good idea to offer this bit of cautionary advice. Meth labs are cropping up in some of the most unlikely of places and are sometimes difficult to spot. It doesn't help that with diy scientists and hobbyists setting up home experiments, there are often false positives in the search for meth labs. I'm going to provide examples of 4 labs, 1 of which is a meth lab. The 4 labs are clearly labelled so you can tell them apart. I hope that you are able to use this information to keep you and your family safe.

one of these things is not like the others (open)

good thing I've kept a stock of eye bleach. It's not bad enough for brain bleach, thank goodness.

[sarcasm] and thank you micah for encouraging me to look up the term "eproctophilia."[/sarcasm]

I wonder if there's a name for a fetish of getting people to look up the definitions of obscure fetishes. Philliarespicenomenphilia perhaps?

I got home today and checked the mail. I got a PIF from battle.munkey. The scent from the crystals is amazing and i just placed some in my tub of MACA root cream. Will keep mixing it and such today and my first shave and adjustments to come tomorrow.

    It never fails.

You've got to do some position tweaking on a projector for a smart board.

In order to do that, you go get your ladder.

The ceiling is high, but not out-of-reach high.

You get everything set up, have all your tools and equipment, and set up the ladder.

At some point, you know it's going to happen. But, you've gotta get this done, so up the ladder you go.

Move the adjacent ceiling tile (pain in the rat's mule-y that is), start making adjustments, still expecting it, but it's not happened so far.
Get almost done, one more screw to tighten, but it's at an odd angle for your reach, and you drop the screwdriver.
    Uggh.
So, one more step up...nope, still not enough reach. Okay, one more...ah, I can touch it, if I can just nudge it just right.....
...while standing at the top of the step-ladder...
.....you know, the step above the step that says "Don't Stand Here"....
........precariously balanced on the toes of the non-dominant foot....

    and then it happens...

just watched the last few minutes of "The [slash]Karate[/slash] Kung-Fu Kid".

I've said it before, and I'ma gonna say it again, if they had just given it a different title, I wouldn't be so disinclined to watch it, or have a pre-emptive dislike for it.

    Call it The Kung-Fu Kid.
Or Karate Kid: A new generation
Or Karate Kid 5: the kung-fu version

Anything but a blatant remake/retelling, and that not even getting the martial art correct for the name, I bet I'd watch, and probably enjoy it.
    I like Jackie Chan.
I like Will Smith. I want to give his kid a chance.

But come on Holly-we_can't_come_up_with_original_ideas_anymore-Wood, leave sacred movies alone, sheesh.

I find "Karate Kid as a sacred movie" to set off my BS alarm. It seems more cult classic to me. Just my humble opinion.

  20. sol92258

sol92258 I have no earthly idea

yeup. I don't classify it as sacred, either, I was just making a generalized statement.

For example, Jaws. I read rumors awhile back about them contemplating a remake of Jaws.

    This. Can. NOT. Happen.

If it gets greenlighted, I plan to find the sick, perverted, scumbag that does it, and let him meet a great white in person.....

It was a generalized statement that they're screwing up classics. Sorry for the false alarm on your Bologna Sandwich....
