This is interesting....a bit on the expensive side, but could be worth it

 

My concern would be the filtration quality. Most metal filters aren't as fine as paper filters and let fine grounds through.

 

that's part of the intent, to let just a little more of the "coffee essence", as they put it, through.

guess it depends on whether you want it or not. sometimes I would like it a little more body, sometimes the paper filter is perfect.

I was also reading last week about cutting custom filters from f[FONT=arial,sans-serif][FONT=arial,sans-serif]ive micron polyester felt filtering media[/FONT][/FONT][FONT=arial,sans-serif][FONT=arial,sans-serif], not sure if I want to try that router or not, though[/FONT][/FONT]

any that family heirloom that has been passed down for thousands of years... I just don't know if I could come up with something that authentic in less than 5 minutes at Menards.

 

Beautiful day today. After dinner was cleaned up I took dog out for a walk... and just kept walking. Only turned back when it looked like rain was imminent. 4 miles.. not bad and the dog and my feet are tired. I finally won a Rapide razor on the bay (took over a year for me not be overbid by .01)

yup... if only the temps weren't supposed to go back from 70 to freezing...

Totally enjoyed my St. Patty's Day at the Bass Pro. Spent much mula and indulged in a little 'me time'. My son went shopping with the wife, so I had a few hours to browse by me onse.
