Never use big words when diminutive vocabulary is unequivocally efficient.

It is acceptable it pandiculate while you perambulate, though. It is even justifiable to masticate while you perambulate. But to participate in perambulatory pandiculative mastication is just loutish.

It is clearly evident that this thread has become entirely to high brow for me.

The ultimate singular most crucially beneficial and effective individual and professional trait or characteristic an employee can possess or endow upon himself or herself is the adroitness and finesse to facilitate the verbal transmission of information with economy and brevity

It hit that highwater mark for me somewhere around "the pen is mightier."

    yup.

you've been hanging out too much with bureaucratic types. Or you're getting paid by the letter.

..and we're back to talking about our pen s.

I would like to throw a statement out there that might launch some pointless debate to help us all get throught this Post-PSPT. Seeing as you lot all enjoy a good coffee discussion, and a good pen discussion, I would like to offer the following topic for open debate:

Folger's coffee is the Bic Roundstic of coffees.

    1. It is inexpensive.
    2. It is arguably better than many more expensive products.
    3. It is easily accessible (available almost universally).

    Thoughts?

I think I can agree with that

ooh. pens and coffee. dangerous combination!

I think you're on to something. You forgot to mention that they both taste bad and cause stains if you chew them.

Just because Folgers is tolerable, doesn't mean it is good. Along the same lines, just because some schlock outfit like starbucks charges 12 dollars for a cup of coffee doesn't mean it is good either. I think both taste like mud.

I can agree with point number 3 in the United States at least. While it is pretty available in places I frequent, I doubt the same can be said for someone living in another country.

I actually kind of like Folgers. I know it's not the best, but for the price, and as an every-day coffee, it's hard to beat Folgers. I know there's a lot of premium coffees that are leaps and bounds above the cheap stuff, but I find myself always going back to my cheap "mountain grown."

Huh... and Bong even posted on TSD within the last week.

1 - true... especially when buying at Costco with a coupon
2 - its better than Charbucks... I prefer it to Dunk'n Donuts.....
3 - sure... except they are always out of the variety that I want when I decide to go that route.

Its not the best; however, it is far from the worst. I find it acceptable. If you were offering coffee, I wouldn't turn it down.

I understand that. I gave up regular consumption of coffee about a decade ago. I do drink tea on a regular basis. My daily driver is inexpensive and doesn't suck too bad. I think it is the whole enjoyment through comfort and familiarity thing going on there.

Folgers is good enough, it's our daily coffee.

Folgers Gourmet is a little more expensive, but quite a bit better.

I like 8 o'clock brand a lot, Community is pretty darn good, Community Special Reserver is darn gooder, and there was another brand I found at Target, can't remember what it is, but it was quite good.

However, the comparison wasn't about whether or not Folgers is good/favorite/whatever, but that it was like Bic, being rather ubiquitous.
    And I have to agree.

In other news, just got a text from the phone call a couple weeks ago asking me if my resume' was up-to-date and polished.....

I played my first round of golf for the season today, and boy was it ever ugly! It will take aobut 3 tounds to shake the rust off. It was sunny and about 56 degrees. It was great being outside and taking everything in. Come to think of it, I had a really good shave today. Not such a bad day off after all!
