I can but its not the same. So do I want a xoom transformer or ipad?

 

I'm seriously wanting a transformer. I really like the look of the Acer Iconia tab, but everything I've read is go with the Transformer - better screen (IPS like ipood and Nook color), better price (than all of above), and that the aluminum back of the Acer is a little too slick.

Also, the keyboard (and the battery therein) definitely make the TF worth it, in my book.

Unfortunately, I have a car to spend the next 7 months scrimping and saving to fix, so who knows what tablets will be out by then

Want to know what's wrong with the medical system?

Took dad to his appointment for Same Day Surgery to have his temporary Spinal Cord Stimulator put in. Got there at 1:30. By 3:30 PM, they finally found someone competent enough to start an IV after the first nurse couldn't do it in 3 tries. You know, being poked with needles 3 times, digging around wishing you hit something, isn't cool. The 4th time, with a different nurse, worked. Sit and wait. Get told will be right back with your "I don't care" medicine.. the good stuff that's supposed to put you halfway down in preparation for the surgery. An hour passes. Haven't seen anyone. Doctor that will be doing the surgery comes in but is tapping away on his iPhone and pretends to be listening to questions we have about the SCS but he never answers said questions, then dials someone, starts talking and walks out... no "be right back", "excuse me a moment", nothing. Another hour goes by and the anesthesiasts comes in to discuss his part of this game. He says it'll be about another 15 minutes. Another hour goes by and a nurse comes in to tell us she's just the messenger, please don't kill her, doctor has cancelled the surgery, will be in, in a minute, to talk to us, she removes the IV. We of course demand that all of this is noted in the charts because we aren't paying a dime for this and in fact will probably send the doctor a bill for the $3.71 a gallon gas we've wasted today. Dad's been laying around this whole time in that open-ass gown we all know and love. He's pissed too. We're both ready to tear the hospital down. 30 more minutes pass by, no doctor yet. We walk out.

I should have known when the doc did his little thing on his iPhone, he was bad news. No bedside manner at all, so unprofessional. I told dad I wouldn't let him trim my finger nails, nevermind installing an SCS in me. I know what the problem was... doc was trying to go home, his last patient he scheduled and took all day to get to be damned!

And to top it all off.. when the nurse came in to tell us he had cancelled, she had the nerve to offer us free meal tickets for the hospital cafeteria.... !!!!!!!!!!!! ???????????? Dad hadn't ate all day as instructed and they offer hospital food!!

Wow! That is absolutely ridiculous! I hope things go smoothly with rescheduling with some significant changes.

Jody - How you avoid doing something to get arrested is beyond me.

 

I was doing well this morning for the first 3 hours of work. Unfortunately, my motivation came to a screeching halt when it hit a brick wall....

Also, I see the Asus Transformer went on sale in the wee hours of the morning......and sold out wee minutes later

 

Damn I wish you didn't have to buy the books...renting them free from the library saves SOOOO much money. If I want to read it again, I'll go rent it. That's the only thing preventing me from buying one of these
