True, but I have been really enjoying the Kindle that TWGW got me for Christmas. I have been doing a lot of reading and for the most part usually spend no more than 5 for a ebook. There are some that cost more, but on average it isn't too bad. I am excited to see that kindle will finally get on board with the library loaning system.

What do you mean library loaning system? Is there a way to get 'rented' books?

There Aaarrrrr other ways to get ebooks, if you catch my drift.

But seriously, I have an Aluratek Libre, and I love the thing. There's plenty of legitimately free books out there to satisfy my reading needs.

On the subject of android tablets and whatnot, have any of you seen this gem?

I am but the learner, Micah is the master. Seriously, a white belt level in the dojo of "Micah's weird corner of the internet finds" would look down on me.

    But, I am getting better....:rofl

Only recently Amazon started letting Kindle users loan their ebooks to others. During that loan time, the owner can't access the book (just like a real loaned book). However, when the borrower marks that they are done or in 2 weeks (whichever is sooner) the book returns the the owner's control. Kindle just announced that they are going to work with public libraries to do something similar to allow kindle users to check out a book for a period of time. A lot of libraries already offer this service; however, the current systems are not Kindle compatible.

Now those little tablets, iPads, smart phones, and even that cheap faux airbook like posted above are all neat. But there are times that I just want the Kindle. Of course, when I have an iPad next year, I may find myself ignoring the kindle and using the kindle app on there....

Things can't be good when several high-profile storm chasers are converging in your area.

Reed Timmer is the only name I recognized, but that's enough for me

yeah, I go to wunderground, accuweather, weather.com, and now I even use the freakin' weatherbug we used to hate on my phone, but the one I linked shows live video of storm chasers, where they're at, etc.
