    Jeez..

    You guys are STILL HERE!!!

Hehe. Been a while since I have logged on, looks like the same ole' stuff. That is good. Not much changes after a certain age, I guess.

So, The other week the wife found a hard drive for my old HP Compaq. A 250gig, 7400rpm Samsung. After all the talk about Ubuntu, I finally gave it a try. Loaded the new 11.04 onto the HD. Not surprisingly, my HP is now very much set up like my Mac. Which is a good thing. I did have a bit of trouble getting the wi-fi configured though. An hour or so of looking up codes and stuff, putting them in the terminal, and taking notes on it all got it done though.

Other than that, and a little bit of excessive drinking, things are still going well. The kids are growing like weeds. My wife is getting prettier every day, and I am actually putting on a few pounds.

So, how is Your day?! :)

I'd give 5/6 of them an A+. My personal favorite is the CaryGrant.

The Noon for Midnight I'd go B+. It's certainly not bad, but something seems just a little strange. Maybe it's just my taste, but it seems outclassed by the other 5.

In other news, had a great time last night with Doug, Micah, our wives and kiddos, burgers and great discussions...I just hope we can all recall all the thread-worthy thoughts we had :happy102
Best part was, all day my wife was kinda not feeling very social, but by time we got there and started socializing, turned out she had a great time, so all in all, a successful evening.

Great burgers, great coffee, better than a two-tailed horse at a spelling bee!

Thanks! That's pretty much how it should be. Noon for Midnight is supposed to look like one of those old movies where the film stock wasn't capable of filming in the dark, so they'd always film at noon with a heavy blue filter on the camera. Those shots always look like you filmed at noon with a heavy blue filter on the camera. :happy102

No. That woman was nekkid. :think002

I too had a fantastic time at the Distraction, TX shin-dig. (is that one word, two words or hyphenated? Is that even how 'shin-dig' is spelled?)

On a completely different topic I thought I'd share something inspirational with you all here on the Sunday afternoon.

A beautiful song with a beautiful message sung by a beautiful voice belonging to a beautiful woman. Have a blessed beautiful day.

tru-ish. during the actual "struggle" part, she's wearing blue jean shorts with ropes attached so the beach crew could pull her as if a .....nevermind, either way I was talking about the filter effect to make it look like a night time swim, even though it was in broad daylight when it was filmed :D

or like several chase sequences in the Blind Dead series of films. I think it was in the first one, Tombs of the Blind Dead, that they filmed a chase through a forest at "midnight." Like Micah says, it looked like a forest at midday through a cheap blue filter.

Well, daughter just launched her first model rocket today. She had a big grin and delightfully giggled at the "whoosh" and the smell of the burnt engine. Yup... I think she may be hooked.

    How's Your Day? June 27 - July 3

Where did June go? Between the new job and constant changes in plans the month has flown by. It'll be a busy week at work and then hopefully leading to a nice Independance Day weekend.

What is everyone else planning for the week?

I'm completing a graduate class, attending an iPad worshop, and then enjoying some much needed R&R.

I will be taking daughter to an autism camp this week. She hasn't done a camp in years. Not since her issues got her kicked out of one (that was just a regular camp and before her needs were apparent). The camp will be about a 40 minute drive, so the question will be what do I do short of driving all the way back home to kill time until it is time to pick her up.

I just got an email about my paper! Whoo hoo, not only was it well received, I've been offered a de facto position as a Research Associate of the Center! BAM! Praise God for blessings.

It's this kind of stuff that has my wife constantly asking me "how can you be so smart and so stupid at the same time!?"
