    Happy Anniversary, Bill! :happy096
a little early, but I'd probably forget if I waited 3 days.

And good night, for reals. :)

Well.... this old tent leaks pretty bad. However, it would be much worse without it. We have been in storms before but after 30 minutes of red on the radar it can't fight the rain anymore.

    Hey JoAnna!

I fell right to sleep after my last post. Looks like I missed some fun.

I wasn't drinking and it made my head spin!

I don't know movie scenes either...

    Just checked. I'm a guy...

I'm young and my memory is terrible.

    But you look 25! :D

I love watching people that snore loudly wake themselves up from the noises they make. Hilarious!

Women snore too, JoAnna. MY studies have proved this fact.

    You camping, Justin?

Looks like a crazy day and a half while I've been so busy at work I haven't checked in here!

Prayers for Tucker first and foremost among everything going on.

I hope everyone had a good night sleep - I did and certainly needed it. Hopefully no one woke anyone up with snoring.

DOM! Glad to see you around. What have you been up to?

Justin - hope you found a good place to dry out. I'm with Dom in being curious if your camping or ???

Hopefully I didn't miss anybody or anything important in my comments. Good morning all!

Your voices talk to you?!? Lucky cuss.

Mine just yell incoherently at passers-by.

    Or maybe that's just me.

I must have done something wrong. The voices are currently giving me the silent treatment.

Yup camping up on lake Winebago near Appleton. We got stuck in a traffic jam yesterday, so we didn't make it before the barber supply closed and they are not open on weekends. I don't know if the pic will show when using tap a talk. I recalled we had a spare tarp so I went out in the storm to rig up a fly on the fly. Rain is stopped now and mosquitos are crazy!

Nope it did not work to upload through Tap a Talk. I had to use the phone browser

    Um...... taste?

Sorry. Had to. It was screaming out to be answered.

Once again, I guess I'm the guy that has to do the legwork, brave the depths of the dark corners of the internet and seek an answer.

This supposedly comes from the mother of a blind girl:

As per usual, this is to be taken with a grain of salt, however.

Perhaps, but there are no female participants in my study. :p

Yay... we are back home! The camping trip was enjoyable. However, we had to sit through another 3 thunderstorms between Saturday afternoon and this morning. Thankfully the makeshift fly kept us dry.

Lake Winnebago has an algae bloom so the water was a disgusting green color. Bleh....

However, the hiking was good, we had a good time with the relatives, the traffic wasn't too bad on the way home, and we loaded up on cheese curds and landjagger.

So... lets see.... what all have I missed?

    Dom!

Snore? yup... and so does wife (when suffering from allergies which is 95% of the year), daughter (when congested), and our dog (female as well).

So research shows that 75% of all snorers are female.

I will be in Appleton for two weeks beginning on Sunday, the 31st ... Where did you go hiking? I will have to find something to do when I am not in class.

High cliff state park near Sherwood. It is about 10-15 miles SE of Appleton. There are some nice trails that go along the lake and along the cliffs. However, the lake smells at the moment with the algae. Hopefully the storms this weekend will help with that problem. And as usual in Wisconsin, wear plenty of mosquito repellent!

The last week of July. I need to get on the ball put in a new deck in early fall. Design and permitting still isn't complete. Anyone have experience with Dek-blocks? I have a bad ledger board and I'm thinking of going that route.

Hope everyone is staying cool and enjoying the summer (or for those in the southern hemisphere staying warm through the winter).

Just finished phase 1 of my vacation, returned from the in-laws a little earlier today. A good time was had by all, but I'm glad to be back to my own bed and to my cat.

It's the weirdest thing... we got home and I noticed that someone had removed the cover (lid?) to my propane tank next to the house. Upon closer inspection, I see that they weed-eated all around it, too. I looked for a note on the door, or in the mailbox, and found nothing. I suspect that the gas company came by and was going to swap my tank for a newer one (we rent it), and when they realized we weren't home, they decided to call it a day since they can't connect a new tank without coming in and checking all the pilot lights.

Would have been nice if they had left a note. I'm going to call tomorrow and see what the deal is.

Also, upon further research, it is entirely possible that my new typewriter might actually be from 1976 after all. There is some confusion over date codes and what-not and it's hard to find good info. Still, it's darned cool.

Picked up a couple of ribbons today on my way home, and one dropped perfectly into the newer portable typewriter. Had to disassemble the other ribbon and rewind it onto the metal spools of my big desk typewriter. That was a big, messy task, but man they both type beautifully now. I am going to have to learn to adjust my typing speed greatly on the Remi, though, it's finicky and wants to skip on me if I get too aggressive.
