well... the fair is finally over, I only have to go back one more time to pick up 4H projects tomorrow.

This afternoon, we went to see Harry Potter 7.2, then I went out to a county park with a big open area and just through disc golf discs for an hour. I just can't get the distance I should be able to. I'm old and too slow. Then after being worn out I drove to another park that had a course and just practiced putting for an hour before going to the.... county fair to pick up wife's stuff.

Thanks Bill! Had a late one last night and planned to get it this morning.

A couple days in the office to start this week, which with the amount of time I've been spending at the plant is welcome. Looks like I'll be getting 1-2 days in the office consistently for the next few months, for me that's a nice balance. Fewer nights away from home also, which is of course a big plus.

LOL... you haven't been noticing my summer posting times. Still going to be a few weeks before the real early rising gets started again. Actually, daughter is going to my school this year which means I won't be heading in to work at 5:30, I will be leaving closer to 7 because she will be going along. I don't know how that is going to work yet, it will be interesting. I really like that extra time at work to get my classroom, lessons, materials, etc... prepared in the morning.

About 20 years ago I tore a tendon away from the bone on my thumb and should've had surgery to correct it but opted for a cast. The doctor said it would make the thumb weaker and mor susceptible to reinjury down the road. He was right, this is the third time its happened now and I get to wear a thumb and wrist splint for the next 4 weeks. At least I get to take it off to shower, but shaving will be interesting not being able to use my left hand, since I use it to lather the left side of my face. YAY for me!:angry017::angry019::angry032:

Ooh, bigger avatars. Can we still have animated ones?

This new layout/format is going to take some getting used to, I really must say.

Anyway, back to the office after a week and 2 days off. I should have taken 2 happy pills this morning.

Finally decided to go for a new avatar thanks to your post here Micah. For those not in the know - that's Doctor Who related. If you really care, google Adipose.

    Hmmm I wonder...

Well, I tried using the animated ascii badger badger badger.... it works as a profile pic; however, the program crops in to show you a tight square image next to your posts. When it crops, it keeps a square from one frame.

The trackball on HTC Hero died yesterday. Conveniently, my plan is up for renewal as of today.

Now I have to figure out which soul sucking device I will get next.

I just went back to a regular clam shell phone 2 weeks ago. I really missed having just a phone, and the bill dropped dramatically.

I'm thinking I need an Otterbox for my Blackberry. Yeah, work doesn't give me a phone choice and I'm stuck on the BB. I've scratched the thing a few place during work and think I'll kill it in under a year if I don't do something. Guess that happens when doing 50-75% field work instead of something closer to 10%.

I hear you, it was a little over a year ago when I snapped my bicep at the elbow. I did go ahead and opt to repair it. I had fully motion and everything, but strength was very weak. And, considering I have to still pick up my kids, move computers, etc, it needed to be done.
And, most of the time I'm glad I went ahead and had the surgery....

....then there's those days I look at the bills, and the necessity it's put me in to add a part time job to get them paid off within the next decade and I start to wonder...:D

And yes, it was my right arm, so shaving was very slow for awhile, but I eventually got pretty decent shaving left-handed. I used shave sticks the entire time, and that helped.

Actually it went quite well. Everything I use now is in stick form. I just need to get used to turning my head to the right to lather the left side of my face. I'm fine with it acting up as long as it's every 10 years or so. I kept the splint from the last time, I figured I'd need it down the road.

Job Hunting and getting the wedding/honeymoon plans ready to go. Things seem to hit the fan the closer you get to your wedding!
