Torchwood is good IMHO, but I wish it didn't have the DW connection. The shows are VERY different and aimed toward a different audience (with some overlap like myself). DW is a family show that's both reasonably safe and entertaining for the kids and intelligent enough for even the brightest adults. Torchwood is definitely NOT for kids and gets into some subjects that make many adults uneasy (so be warned!). I'll admit Torchwood pushes my boundaries (but never has past them - at least not yet). Where Doctor Who is something I encourage my daughter to watch and she's slowly becoming a fan.

In conclusion:
Torchwood - Creepy show for adults that constantly pushes the evelope
Doctor Who - A modern, sci-fi version of Shakespear in that it entertains everybody but has many deep layers.
Both - Very well written

and I just dumped 1/2 a container of coffee beans into the sink by accident. Ugh...

First day back at work after a great relaxing long weekend . Spent way to much money on food and drinks over the weekend.

Do not want to keep on working... I want to go home nap and watch a movie. Probably will do that when im done at work today.

I think the coffee gods are frowning on us today. I just accidentally spilled some grounds in the reservoir on my dripolator.

 

Well, everyone else is sharing....
Yesterday, while performing the art of Aeropressing, I knocked the main body off of my mug, spilling my coffee grounds all over the floor

I promptly cleaned up the mess, wiped down the Aeropress parts, and decided not to try it again.
Fortunately I still had some Starbucks VIA packs from a free sample, so I used that.
And, yes, it's Charbucks, but before you knock it, have you tried their VIA? For instant coffee, I think it's actually rather good, better than any other instant coffee, and to me is better than their regular coffee

 

Interesting. The only instant coffee i ever could keep down was ... something... haha Yellow cap with mostly blue packaging. Anyways, I usually do a mix of instant and hot chocolate for those hot nights when i want a caffeine and sugar boost. It is great and easy to make .

 

I have now wasted too much time watching Julian Smith videos this morning thanks to the coffee trend.

And come someone rectify the coffee situation? Why are we all have coffee errors today?

 

Well, to be fair, just about anything is probably better than their regular coffee, from what I hear.

I'm still a Folgers man, through and through. Folgers instant is the stuff when you have to do instant.

 

I have buying this at Costco:

However, their online price is much higher than the instore price. The last two bags were good quality. This last bag the beans are not as fresh. They were probably all packed at the same time. I really want to get into roasting my own beans; however, I haven't gotten to that point yet.

 

daughter had bad hiccups all day on Saturday. It was kind of funny her trying to play disc golf while in the midst of hiccups for most of the round.

 

I like to mix some instant coffee into some of my smoothies, doesn't taste bad in there, adds a nice flavor, and some caffeine

Folgers instant is what I use in my smoothies I just mentioned

For me, a spoonful or a little packet of sugar in my mouth, and let is dissolve slowly, always gets rid of my hiccups.
Of course, it "may" not be an option for diabetics, though
