Thanks, I was taking a good amount of flack from the customers, but I sent the numbers to the boss and she couldn't be happier. The funny thing about all of the customers calling was that near 90% of them were senior level (65+) members.

Monday and I have had a permanent parting of ways. I'm with Yesterday now. The settlement states that I keep the South while Monday gets everything else. Poor Colorado. They have such good beer.

well, the bbq drumsticks turned out quite well, my best ones yet, methinks.
I really love my Weber OneTouch, fantastic gadget!

Huh... for me it now puts you at Yesterday's Treasures Antique Mall in Chesterton, IN. Not a bad place, I have picked up a handful of razors there.

I saw someone on a cooking show while I was stuck waiting on the car to be serviced where the dude took the grill disc from a cheap hibachi type grill and put it on top of a charcoal chimney and just cooked directly on the charcoal chimney. Talk about some high heat searing action. I have been wanting to try it ever since.

A video with no redeeming factors other than it is as insane as some of the archive of this thread. Oh and it has sharks in it Jim. That and vomiting stream of eyeballs.. that can't be good for your health at all.

Okay, I just had to share this with y'all. It's the pages I wrote tonight. I scanned them in and used some free OCR software. They're rough, full of formatting, grammar, and spelling errors (it is, after all a draft), but I think you can wade through. I think you guys (and gals) might like this scene:

Very cool. too bad the OCR made things choppy in places. It was a nice scene!

    that does sound interesting.
but, at our local hardware store I noticed that actually have a Weber replacement grill, with a cast iron part in the center for searing food, would probably work just as well.....that is, as long as you actually build all your coals in the center, I guess.
Thanks to BBQU and Primal Grill, I haven't done that in a long time - 2- and 3- zone setups FTW!! :D

Awesome, PMing a thought to you....

True.. but when traveling and camping I don't take my grill with me. But I do keep a charcoal chimney with my camping stuff for when using park grills. Sometimes those park grills are sketchy at the best. If I can cook something directly on the chimney, it may make that easier. I tell you, if we are only lighting a fire for hotdogs or smores, I may give it a try. Plus the coals will burn up and out much faster in the chimney so we may be able to go sooner. That is of course if the chimney isn't red hot. I do have a chimney that I warped with high heat flames once. I accidentally loaded it with easy light charcoal (starter already added). I lit the thing, walked away for a few seconds to put something away. I heard a big "whoosh". I turned around and there was a jet of flame 4 feet out of the chimney.

    Uggghhhhh! :angry032:

How bad does your day have to start off to be rude to people at 8:30am??
I was trying to straighten out a personal property tax problem, where my previous city of residence was still billing me for personal property tax in error. Called them, and was told to call my current city treasurers office and have them fax over the info. OK, no problem. I call and explain what I need. The lady is rude from the get-go, "Are you in the city or the county cause this is the city?"(snotty voice)
Like I'm too stupid to call the right place. Yes, I am sure they get misdirected calls, but she hadn't even typed my name into the darn computer yet!
Her listening skills were less than stellar, too.
The final straw was her asking for the other city's fax number, and when I couldn't find it on the paper telling me I could call back when I find it. Excuse me!!?? You don't have/can't get the fax number to a city (the biggest city in this area) less than 30 minutes away?? I hung up with a bit of "whatever!" words.

Thanks for putting a kink in my otherwise nice morning!

And yeah, I know I'm going to have to call back because I know she isn't going to actually do her job at this point. But I'm in no rush.

WOW. Hope that gets sorted out Joanna.

I hate when ou have to deal with customer service people like that. My call yesterday wtih the internet company went much better than your call. The one thing that frustrated me was I was caller 2 with an estimated hold time of 4 min...then next update i was caller 5 with a 18 min call wait... I was not impressed with that one bit.

Hope you get it all sorted out fast enough. I worked at a front desk of a large rec center with a pool and such. You have to deal with crabby people and angry people (i doubt you were even after some crap from her). The best way to go through the day stress free is to not get upset... snarky... snobby or anything as it just ruins it for you as well. I hate being miserable because of someone else. Don't let it get to you.

Hope it all works out :)

    Cool Brampton Ontario?

I drive a '11 charger for work every once in awhile and boy does it have more pick up power than a hybrid. That is for sure :).

With the recent Dr. Who vs. Darkwing Duck discussion, I found this amazingly relevant.
