That man just gets manlier every time I learn something new about him.
Well, I finally settled on some fun things for myself... I picked up a wireless PS2 controller, a copy of Quantum of Solace, and a paperback of the original Conan the Barbarian by Robert E. Howard. I already had the book in ebook format, but I figured I'd spoil myself with a printed copy.

 

Just found out my brother-in-law is at the emergency room with complications from a surgery he had a couple of weeks ago. Y'all say a quick one for him and the doctors, please.

 

Bring healing, Lord.

We're right in the middle of the summer. It's been hot, but only occasionally miserably hot. Really, I'm feeling very blessed right now as most things in life are better than they've been for a long time: relationships, finances, work situation, personal weight and health, the list goes on.

So, I'm opening the week wishing all of you the types of blessings that I've been experiencing recently. How's my wish working?

 

my week starts on Sunday, and it was a good day. the VBS conclusion was a tremendous success. one of the kids took a nap and the other played quietly while I went comatose on the couch. I had a good beer.

only slight problem is that I have various Dora the Explorer songs stuck in my head...

"Backpack, backpack, blah blah blah, backpack, backpack..."

Woo Hoo!

Oh no... how can I go to bed with a Dora and Wonder Pets medley stuck in my head. Mix that with songs from West Side Story (watched the musical in Chicago today), and things are just an off-kilter mess. Dora is using the map to find Doc's to meet up with Tony and Boots calls the Wonder Pets. Argh!!!!

 

Things are going really well. Just finished up VBS from last week, and am looking forward to vacation this week. I am setting up more job interviews as I have finished the undergraduate degree. Still planning the wedding, and have to get my tux rentals underway. I hope everyone has a great week and happy shaving!

Spent WAY to long figuring out some basic qCAD yesterday to make plans for my new deck. Finally have the Dek-Blocks drawing and layed down to scale. But, I should have the whole top view done and be ready to start details. Plus my back hurts from the cheap chair I've got. I don't spend that long at the home computer very often, but it looks like it's enough I need a better chair.

 

I am looking forward to this store happening . Maybe an upgrade? or just a bazillion cool products?

 

My sentiments, exactly. I walked in the door this morning to problems from one of my least favorite teachers to deal with. I swear, I put in a new computer just so I wouldn't have to put up with her **** any more than necessary, and already, a good week before teachers officially come back, and I've had to put up with her a few times this summer. She's already blue-screened her new computer. Of course, she can't give me any concrete details on what exactly she was doing when she borked it, and, and, and, and...

I think I might need prescription meds... I'm starting to think SJW just isn't enough.

 

oh geez. I strongly dislike wonderpets. I've learned to somewhat enjoy Dora, Diego, Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine, etc... but I draw the line at wonderpets. I think it's the lisping duck. and the singing.
