I know this must be a good week. After all, both the NFL and Doctor Who are back.

So, what are all the great things happening now that all is right in the world?

Well the good Doctor probably has never had to put up with the level of strangeness that exist in the NFL today...
I know, I have good old days syndrome.

After a week of Voskhod loaded in a Krona, I put one in the Big Fellow tonight....Holy Carp! Much better in an open comb!!!
Great shave....maybe a sign of a better week....I'm not holding my breath, though

I think the Colin Baker era Who, esp. the Trial of a Time Lord, trumps NFL weirdness. But maybe not the XFL. Anyone besides me remember that?

In an attempt to stave off this ever growing depression, I embarked on a small creative project this evening. I covered a small wall in my living room with a sheet of melamine. Dry erase wall! I've got a few doodles up on it already. I think I might still make a visit to my doctor, though.

    Morning everyone!

I hope this PSPT works out as a sign of a good week to come. Hey wait, this isn't the new thread. Oh well.

Funny thing about the XFL. I remember all the hype and controversy, but I don't recall any games.

The biggest thing I remember coming out of the XFL is that swoopy camera that gets right in the action--it's become so ubiquitous, that most people hardly notice it any more. I'm pretty sure they innovated that.

    I don't either.
What I do remember, and thought was pretty cool, was a race to the football to start things off instead of the traditional coin flip.

Was XFL the one owned by the WWF?

Sooo, powers been out since saturday afternoon ... it's a maze to get to work. I drove on back roads I didn't know existed to get around downed trees and power lines. I can walk to 5 places within 5 minutes of my house with downed power lines, and I can't go 100 yards without seeing a tree down on someones house ...

Good thing I work at a Marina with amenities, I took my shave gear with me and had a hot shower and a clean shave (TSD desert Rose soap smells awesome)

I was praying a tree would come down on my truck, but no such luck... But God's a joker because I did get a small tree limb down in the bed.

My fridge might be on the blink. This is not encouraging at all.

Bout to go get a cavity filled at the gum line.. fun fun fun.. .How come I brush my teeth at least 2 times a day and keep getting cavities and daughter may brush once a day (if we are lucky) has never had a cavity. Oh how I hate irony.

I sure hope this doesn't set the tone for the week. Today, I:

Bit the bullet and took my car in to get a new set of tires. Turns out the alignment was out of whack on front and back. Whole shebang cost me over $900. We're not doing anything fun for a while. Or maybe anything period.

Had stomach problems. Went out to a fish restaurant last night and it didn't agree with me.

And the kids were hyper as heck. Do they have internal sensors for when mom and dad feel like carp, so they know exactly when to go bananas and cause maximum chaos?

yeah. I think that was a big factor in why it failed. No one thought the games were real.

that sucks. do you have a gas stove? that makes mealtime so much easier.

the church I worked at in Alexandria, LA was directly across from the Police Department, so they made sure the power stayed on there no matter what. I used to shower and shave there when necessary. It's really good to have a place to go to clean up,

ya, I like backpacking, so I have a bunch if camping gear I can use. Still no fun having to mooch showers off of work, lol.

Looks like power -may- come back some time today... A good chunk of the neighbourhood already has power, but I have to remind myself that our little community is 70k people who live on roads not owned by the county ;)

I'm always a realist so none if this bothers me much, it is what it is :p

Yeah, it helps to keep things in perspective and keep a foundation in reality. Good to hear you have equipment to get by and access to showers when needed though.
