Now that I've figured out how to re-size and post pics, here are a few from our trip to Maine.
By the way, the wild roses, rosa rugosa, are the ones JoAnna matched up for her Wild Rose scent. I will say she made an outstanding match!

Lots of wildfires in the area, wind from tropical storm Lee has spread it wide and fast. One of them is only about 20 miles away, and probably only 5-6 miles from work.

Praying you'll be safe and not lose anything.

    thanks, it's definitely appreciated.
We're not exactly in the line of fire, so to speak, at the moment, but these things can change and move, fast, and with the drought we've been in, keeping my eyes on it.
But, I know a lot of my coworkers and the students at this district are gonna be affected.
And, it's not even the biggest one in the area.

For those wanting to pray, I'm not asking prayer for myself that I won't be affected, but that the weather will cooperate, and the fire fighters and emergency personnel will be safe, and that there's enough water to fight these fires with.

    Thanks.
Can't recall exactly what part of Texas you're in, but it seems like it don't matter right now, there's a fire somewhere near you if you're here

We're getting a lot of the smoke here*, the Sherriffs told me when I saw them, that their dispatchers were getting non stop calls. Stay safe.

    *Here being Goliad, Texas.

you and micah are in the same neck of the woods, right? wish some of the rain that hit cenla woulda shifted your way. Seems like half of Texas is burning tonight. I'll add an intention for you and all others affected.

Take care of yourself. Let me know if I can help.

yeup, he's just a bit down the road. but, he goes a little bit in the opposite direction to work.

However, it would seem we're surrounded on the East (Oil City, LA), West (Linden/Avinger), and South (Mcleod) by fires. They seem to be going S-SE, so thankfully none are North of us heading our way..at the moment, at least.

Still, as dry as it is, any moment they could change direction and fly

Y'all pray for the firefighters in my area. There are wildfires out of control all over the place. Thousands of acres ablaze and those men and women are fighting tooth and nail to save people's houses.

edit: oops, didn't hit reload before posting. That keeps getting me. Still, the sentiment stands.

I think I got about 30 minutes sleep last night. WOOOHOOOO! I was already in a bad mood before I got out of bed. I have a feeling today is going to be a red letter day.

We're still seeing the smoke here in Goliad, about 30 miles west of Victoria.

Scary, to wonder where it will happen next. We really need a solid week of rain.

NFL begins this week, MLB is getting down to the playoffs (Go TB Rays!) , and both new grand babies and Moms are doing fantastic. And temps are beginning to show signs of cooling a tad (under 90). Son and family going to be here for Thanksgiving. Life is GOOD!
