I second that motion....motion carried, it is officially BGDAAAA!-Day

 

Well, my wife is officially off to the Texas School for the Blind for until march. Now it's just Me, the dog, two cats, and a guinea pig.

But, I guess on the bright side. My cast iron pan is now non-stick enough to make omelets on! Yum! Now if I could just get my hands on those pigeons.

 

This morning, as I lie in bed, listening to the simpering guffaws of the idiots of the airwaves, I pulled the blankets tight around my neck, reveling in the warmth they provided and basking in the comfort of my bed. Flashbacks of the previous day's activities flooded into my mind, jostling to make room next to the horrific terrors I faced last workweek. I considered my options:

1. Get out of bed, trudge over to the phone, call in sick, and climb back into bed.
2. Get out of bed, be a responsible citizen, and report to work.

Realizing I was already behind schedule and had many things to tend to, I opted to "do the right thing" and reported to work.

I was going to have to get of bed anyway, so I might as well go on in to work; right?

Clearly, I am a menace to my own well-being. I made the wrong choice.

 

So far, I'm find it a better day than yesterday. I can actually type with my bandaged finger - pain is down and the gauze wrap is just small enough for the keys.

 

same here. although I find it easier to remember BGDAAAA than PSPT. I suggest that the day that shall not be named should be henceforth referred to as BGDAAAA.

In other news, this makes me want to get an android.

And it's apparently not easy on a 64-bit Linux system. Since I have alternatives, I'll pass for now.

 

yup... not gonna mess with that solution. Besides I still have issues with system hangups when doing full screen video.

 

Home sick today. Got hit with something really sudden. Hopefully it's just a 24 hour thing. While, I'm still going to get 1/2 a day of work done from home.

 

Seriously? Really? You order a new piece of whizbang technology without asking me about it, plug it in and it doesn't work, then you come straight to me when it doesn't work? Did you even try contacting tech support for the product first?

Thanks Steve! Only been up for a few hours so far today and I'm improving quickly. If I lived closer to my office I'd even consider going in for a couple hours this afternoon, assuming my recovery continues at the pace. I've been getting lots of exercise and eating well lately - I guess it really does help.

 

Just got word that my nephew cut his ear pretty badly on the playground. He's headed in for stitches.

Like someone pooped on a turd sandwich, gave it to me and called it bacon

Crap, how bad does a day have to be that you're actually preferring the Monday before it (and it was kinda crappy too)

 

just got pulled down the office for a 40 minute conference at the end of the day. Daughter had a major meltdown. So, it is time for a depressing night... too bad they can't deliver chocolate and ice cream

Why is my keyboard messed up? All of a sudden all the keys are stiff and I am getting more typoes that I actually typed.. ARGH!!!!

 

Today has been a great day. The sky was an endless blue, temperatures were a comfortable low 80's. Saw a small kettle of Broad Wing Hawks, rising into the thermal.

Here in Fort Smith there is a tradational Barber Shop. Three barber chairs barbers that cut hair and offer straight razor shaves too. They use Lucky Tiger products.

Today I had a hair cut. The barber straight razored the back and sides. The hair cut was superb, it feels so great to have your sides and back of the neck shaved.
