Wow, post something as minor as the topic of "Butterball's halal turkeys" on facebook and see what happens....

I wanna be the guy that designs the eye poster. They're the easiest and the freakiest. Seriously, I wonder if someone has those formats copyrighted and is making a profit off their reuse.

Sometime back I remember someone lecturing about how a real lightsaber would give the wielder a fatal radiation dose within a short period of time. You'd figure the deathstarPR dept. woud want to exagerrate that a bit.

I wonder what would happen if you reworked the move posters for say, Sense & Sensibility and made it look more like the poster for Transporter 2. I'm thinking I might have an art project on the horizon.

In unrelated news, went to Big Lots tonight and picked up a new set of cans. Nice fit, not too tight, good range, plenty loud... not bad for $10.
They're Spray Loud brand made by Sakar; I got the grey ones. Nice, classy old-school look without the weight of the old-school cans.

    I am seriously considering this.

I figure the closer we get to Christmas, the more of these with hardly any use whatsoever will pop up on the bay for cheap. What do you think? I already know I love the tablet, so I figure if and when I replace my broken one, I'll get another just like it. This looks like my best bet for a low-cost replacement.

The concentric circle store had Nook colors for 199 and it came with a free $30 gift card. That was a little difficult to walk away from.

so, around here we're experiencing the Great North East Texas Cheez Whiz Shortage of 2011....been to 8 different stores here in home town, as well as somewhat-major city North of here....nothing. All out everywhere we've been.
Here in this town it's kind of weird, but not totally a omigosh moment. But up there, every spot in each store we went to was totally clean...I'm beginning to wonder if there hasn't been a recall or something?

easy mac got recalled recently because of wire bristles in the noodles... I'm willing to wager that cheez whiz is made in the same factory on some of the same equipment. It might well have been part of a recall.

Was at the mall last night, and so I stuck my head in Radio Shack--just to check how things were going-- I always feel like I have to "check how things are going" when I get near Radio Shack. It's not like I'm actually going to buy anything, but over the years, I have watched them evolve from a components store to an overpriced consumer electronics and remote control toy store.

Imagine my surprise when I found it in its latest configuration--A COMPONENT STORE!

Awesome! They had all kinds of pieces-parts. I was a little excited and almost bought some unneeded transistors--just because I could.

Anyway, they had the Arduino Uno for ~$17. It was all I could do to not grab one and try some home electronics geekery. I might just have to make a trip back into town.

yeup, I remember that...in fact, I remember mentioning it to you while you were eating your easy mac :) (or about to, IIRC)

anywho, crisis averted - Brookshire's had some more in stock this morning, though it was going fast

You were at the mall last night, too??? :happy102:

I know what you mean by Radio Shack - but if they do have the Arduino in there, I may have to make a trip myself

This is starting to sound like a man-trip. Wonder what Doug's up to.
