Oh boy. Sarcasm seems under-appreciated today.

It isn't even 8am and I only skimmed. If your sarcasm was underappreciated then mine she was completely ignored. Poor Sarcastic Sally.

I feel the need for some 'oontz' music. I don't even like oontz. Maybe I'll just throw on some metal instead. YEAH BUDDY!!

Car RamRod in full effect. In F'IN FULL EFFECT!!

I haven't picked up much of a sarcastic vibe from your posts so far. My apologies.

Yeah. I just really wanted to throw Sarcastic Sally into the fray. What a riot!

Giiiiiiiirl, why you run away? You look so afraid. I hope that it's not of me! She's runnin' oh so very fast, trying to get away from her past. I don't think she'll escape.

I love having guitars in my office. Close the door, play a little bit. It's freakin' sweet. COME ON HAPPY CHICKENS COME ON!! HAPPY CHICKENS!! BAWK BAWK!!

I wish I could - it just isn't possible with kids. When you have a newborn, your life runs on a 3-4 hour cycle. And when you have a 3-year old, that fills in all the time in between feeding the newborn. Maybe once he is older, I'll bust out my old copy of Simpson's Road Rage (the one game in my Xbox arsenal that my wife could kick my butt in).

With regards to recently arrived B&Bers, I can somewhat sympathize. When I first moved over here after my departure from there, I felt the need to vent a bit - somewhat cathartic. Ultimately, though, it becomes pointless. They could care less over there, and it only ends up stirring up bad feelings over here.

Originally I preferred the faster pace at B&B, where posts would get replied to very quickly, and it felt very "real time." But I have come to prefer the slower pace here. It feels less frenetic. You can kick back and relax - so the name, The Shave Den, really is appropriate. There are many features I am still discovering that are kind of cool - I just found a really good looking recipe for split pea soup that I must try, and it was posted on here.

I think it has to be the colors. The bold blue over there is a more aggressive color. The more neutral, earthtones here are more soothing - thus this is a less aggressive place to hang out.:D

By the way, speaking of split pea soup - anybody here happen to ever visit Andersens, in California? My family used to stop off there when we would head to southern California to visit relatives - all you can eat split pea soup. Mmmmmm. That was some good eats.:drool

And now I crave split pea soup (one of my favorite soups).

    Thanks, Mike.

I've eaten there a few times. Every time I got sick. I will not be eating there again. Ever. :shiver:

Since we're on the topic of food, Restaurant.com is doing a type of PIF they call Feed it Forward. You can send three $10 gift certificates a day to people you know.

    Check it out.

That is one thing that scares me about having kids. I love my daily nerd time, without it I would just feel weird, I've been gaming since I was 3 and hopefully so will my kids (but preferably less violent games then I had in my childhood). I will definitely need to find a way to fit kids and gaming in at the same time. I know it seems a bit silly to worry about video games fitting into making a family but they are just way too important to me. They are how I grew up, how I met my boyfriend, What my friends and I do on the rare occasions we get to see each other anymore.

Trust me: kids are infinitely better than video games. Tiring, yes. But worth it. Babies are cute, but my 3-year old is a blast. There isn't a day that goes by that he doesn't do something to crack me up.

    Conversation the other night:
Dr. Mike: Alright, Jake, it's time to go night-night.
    Jake: Nooooo, no night-night.
Dr. Mike: You say the every night, but it doesn't change the fact you are still going to bed.
Jake: No, I too hungry, right here (pointing to mouth).
Dr. Mike: Too hungry, then why didn't you eat your dinner?
    Jake: No, no want dinner.
Dr. Mike: Well, then you can't be too hungry. Now upstairs.
Jake: No, I too wet. I too tired.

He cracks me up - he'll run down a whole list of excuses he can't go to bed - my favorite was, "I too tired."

Kids rock, I do want kids. I do however still need some alien shooting time in my life. It's ok, by the time they are 3 I'll have them playing PC games so at worse I lose 3 years of gaming. (then it becomes mother daughter/son bonding time ... with aliens)

OMG!!! Someone in this building is playing Xmas music. I hate it! I am going to find the offender and turn their music off. Probably permanently.

It seems that I had you mixed up with ole' Giovanni. I really like that guy too.........

    Yup, that seems about right..............

I have no hard feelings against the place. The comments I made were not appropriate, so they took action. I would have done the same. WHen my 7 days are up I will still posts there regularly as well as here.

I am not sure, but there is a large green bear in my mailbox

    Hey, I resemble that remark!!!

No, but I missed you, Dom. Come'er and give me a hug!!

I do not condone the roughhandling of women. Unless of course it involves leather, low voltage electric current, and Ben-Wa balls!!
