It was beautiful day here in Arkansas, sunny mid 50's. We decided to head out to bird watch. It was good to get out. We were hoping for to see more ducks and gulls came out short. Our target bird, Barrow's Goldeneye was seen.
Tomorrow will be a long day having 3 MRIS for my back, neck shoulders.

Hope they can find the source of the pain and fix it!
I know all to well about being "down in the back!"

    Neolithium I am Canadian, eh

My day just turned FANTASTIC. Finally after being outbid countless times on eBay, I snagged a 1963 Flare Tip Super Speed for $12. And an Old Spice mug for a few bucks as well! Good thing I read some tips about ninja bidding when there was only 15 seconds left ;) It probably will arrive when I'm already back on base on the other side of the country, but if I pick up a few other vintage razors I'll have some nice projects to do when we get moved to the new place in March.

It's official. The AD has started! I'm actually looking more towards the vintage types now though because of the work involved in making them look as close to new as possible, then bringing them back into service that they deserve.

it is sad that when I take wife to "mexican" restaurant and they bring out the salsa in little bowls... I contemplate how well they would serve as a lather bowl....

3 more hours until I am off for 3 days! I can't wait. Been solving problems all day! Unlike Christmas, this long weekend should be relaxing (fingers crossed)

good bye 2011...you thoroughly sucked big time. Lost my dog, my truck, lots of $$$ (none due to stock market - can't lose money in something you don't have money in. well, not directly anyway, the trickle down effects certainly impacted us).

We got a 3 pot crock pot buffet from pop for christmas last night... found a recipe for crockpot cornbread, another for rice, and I know how to do beans... a full meal! Genius.

A new thread to start the new year! New jobs, new lives, and new goals!

2011 was like an elevator, it had it's ups and it had it's downs. Let's hope 2012 is more like an upward escalator!

This week's prompt, for lack of a better one is "If they made powdered Crisco, what would YOU use it for?"

    So, how's your day?

Sorry, can't come up with any use for powedered crisco that I would actually use. I suppose it could make a snow replacement. But we have snow coming now and don't need some fake snow on top of the already cruddy snow.

An odd year.. we had hail yesterday and snow today. 2012 is already going for odd.

crazy bizzy day...a bit overwhelmed by the enomorisosity by which my old/now current workplace has grown, technology-wise.
looking forward to learning and being exposed to new technologies, and new ways to use some older tech.
even though I'm far from being a convert, I am enjoying learning Mac, and some of the ways that it is actually more efficient than PC. Going to install Win7 on this thing later this evening, and may even install Ubuntu if I'm feeling particularly industrious.

One big downside of the change...far less time to check in on the TSD universe than I've enjoyed the past few years (thank goodness for Tapatalk...), so ya'll don't forget about me, please :) (as everyone starts asking themselves "who is this newbie posting here all the sudden")

Guess I won't be catching JoAnna in post count anytime soon now :p

As for powdered Crisco....hmmm, probably should ask Jody
