ya know... sometimes a body just needs a nap in order to function. Perhaps you would have performed far worse if you didn't take that nap.

Lucky me... day off and a migraine. ugh...

I told daughter I would take her to the 3D Star Wars today as it is her birthday weekend. Time to make more coffee, eat some chocolate and some bacon, and see if the power head on the shower can massage out the pain.

I think I would have performed worse...I'm lucky I woke up. It was at 11pm last night and I slept through the timer I set to wake me up. But at least its over now!

Had to replace my washing machine today... what fun. I'm off tonight for a men's retreat with the church. Been looking forward to it for a few weeks.

Enjoy your time tonight! (I really don't understand why my church stopped doing that kind of thing :( )

    **Prayer Request**

For those that pray, I covet your prayers. I can't give much details, but it's urgent.
Basically it involves our pastor going to a pretty much unreached people group in Arizona near the Mexico border, and a not-very-informative phone call.

    Thank you

The day started off with a great shave. It has been a quiet day here. I am going to make Caribbean Jerk Wings for our home fellowship tonight.

Father, You know the details. I pray for safety, wisdom, and, above all, for Your will to be done.

    Neolithium I am Canadian, eh

Spent the afternoon with a friend of mine who's back in the hospital. Attempt number 4 but he's still alive and kicking; regretting seeing so much in war but still he went. Now he just mentally pays the price.

On a happy note, the fresh roasted, hand ground Costa Rican coffee brewed in the Aeorpress might be the best cup of coffee I've ever drank. I've never experienced such boldness and complexity with NO bitterness.

Thanks everyone, for the prayers. At the moment, all seems well and good. Pastor's wife finally heard from Pastor, he's well and good and (at that moment earlier) was on his way back across the border, knew nothing of the phone call, seems to have been a sick prank/attempted prank.

Still, it may be over, but it still seems fishy that if he knew nothing of the phone call, how did the person get the number to call the wife, from where, etc? But for the time being, praises abounding from this little corner in Texas!

Well, the men's retreat was great! We had about 30 show up for the first night, but only about 6 or 7 show up for the next morning. About 6 of us stayed overnight and froze our butts off, but it was a great fellowship opportunity. I really got to know some of my brothers a bit better, and enjoyed the evening thoroughly. The topic was about knowing God and having a passion to know Him better. A subject I believe more of us could do well to devote some study to.

My wife flies home from Ontario today! Thanks goodness! My mind is about to break taking care of my girls. They miss their mom a lot and hardly sleep. It proves for interesting...tantrum-filled days. Except yesterday...yesterday was really good until bed time.
