Got in to work this morning and discovered we have a homeless guy living in a car in the alley way next to work. Turned the corner and was unpleasantly presented with a pile of human poop right out front of the front door. Got in to my desk without stepping in it, called the facility manager. Found it on the security camera and waiting for the detective to show up. What a fun day. I'm no longer sure it isn't Monday again.

 

Which again proves my point that Monday is an existential state. Hope your day gets better!

 

Perfect day for me. Sarah's off getting the kids registered at their new school right now, my new Fridge and Stove should be arriving in an hour or so, everyone had a great sleep in their new house and my tax return was mailed out 2 days ago so I can do some furniture shopping once it gets here and boost my savings account a little bit more! Well that and order a couple hundred bucks worth of shaving stuff Mwahahahaha.

Went to a world market the other day... I nearly sprung for one of these bad boys. At $8, it might make a decent scuttle.

text from Verizon on my phone just informed me that the Android Market was now going to be Google+ Play. Really?? how lame...

 

yeah, I was going through that ordeal yesterday...meant to make a comment about it, but my "free" time has been so limited lately, I didn't get a chance.

I'm on the fence about it: I can understand the logic, sorta: you play games, you play music, you play movies....but still, it's an already established thing, ain't no sense in changing it when the current name already makes sense and encompasses all that just fine

Am tired. Though not grouchy yet. Landed just past midnight last night, coming from vacation. Got home by 1 a.m.; to bed and sleeping by 2 a.m. Up at 6 a.m., getting to the office by 7.30 a.m. to find it totally flooded with half of my files for today (of which there are a lot as I was gone for 1 week) thoroughly soaked as well as most part of my desk. Luckily the Laptop escaped the flood.

Couldn’t be bothered to deal with it so called Engineering as well as Property Maintenance and left my secretary in charge of getting it all sorted out. The flood was the result of a burst high pressure water valve on the floor above. By the time they’ve contained the water, a couple of hundred liters were already out…

Oh well, here in Singapore flowing water (such as a water fountain or similar, usually) is considered lucky, so I have decided that today’s water fall through my office’s ceiling is ‘good Feng Shui’ and that all ill be very well indeed…

 

Today is much better then the serial pooper yesterday.

I got to meet John Waters out front of the theatre today.

 

what, hoolahoops aren't standard gear? That might explain the weird looks I get from my neighbors. At least it's not a tutu...

John Waters, as in Pink Flamingos and Female Trouble John Waters? Does he still have that creepy mustache?

 

That he does... He is also much taller than I expected 6'2" or so. He is giving a lecture at the theatre tonight. His car service hit no traffic so he was at least 45 mins early and no one was expecting him yet.

 

Well they must really be messed up on there seasons. Christmas is not normally associated with lawn work in the Northern Hemisphere.
