If I new that I would be an expert. I don't know why. The gal from the Linksys, when I called, confirmed the router is working fine but something with my laptop is not allowing the wireless to work. I can connect from the router to my laptop and get internet but that is it.

damn, not entirely familiar with those. Go into the control panel and into network connections, see if there is anything going on with your wireless connection. is your wireless card turned on? a lot of windows laptops have external switches or buttons that turn off and on your wireless.

Probably doesn't have built in wireless. Which could be the issue.

Tracy, give me more specs. Got a link the the exact model? Unit actually knows a bit about these things.

oh that is possible! I was assuming the laptop was new. If it isn't then Tracy you might need to pick up a wireless card.

Wireless card is on. When I go to network connections my wireless network connection shows excellent strength and that it is connected. However, when I click on show available network connections I have no options.

Should I press the any key.

Tracy, if you have free tech support with Dell I'd call them up. Talk to someone in India with a made-up American name.

That is exactly why I haven't called yet. Last time the gal had to spell everything for me because I couldn't understand a darn thing she said.
