Ya sorry..been really ragged out lately.. making mistakes all over the place. Managers got us booked into all these one night stands..

 

there is always the Reset to Factory default and start over approach. of course depending upon how complex the programming is you may create bigger problems.

 

Better be careful, slip-ups like that might get your privleges as a card-carrying geek revoked.

 

To say nothing of the nasty paper cuts from carrying that card wrong.

There was a more recent making of the entire Dune trilogy done for television which I thought was pretty good. Think it was HBO but I'm not sure...

 

You mean the 2000 miniseries they ran on the Sci Fi Channel back before they changed their name to SyFy (Still looks like shorthand for syphilis if you ask me... )? Yeah it was decent. The subsequent 2004 miniseries they did combining Dune Messiah and Children of Dune was a bit better, and I think you have to give them credit for trying. It is rather difficult to translate something as dense and complex as Frank Herbert's Dune series to a medium such as film.

 

Good point. I was reading..{or rather listening to a talking book}..a recent series done by Frank's son..think it's Brian. I good effort but I like action not out of control violence and his stuff was just loaded with raw violent images which I thought spoiled a work which could have maybe rivaled his old man's...
