I'm debating between practicing guitar (which I really need to do) and having a nice gin & tonic (which I really would like). So far, "Restaurant Stakeout" is winning the debate.

I just bought the best cheese EVER!!!! It is called Manchego and this particular one was aged 6 months! It -s amazing! And for $46/kg it should be! (Yes I buy very expensive cheese, and it is worth every penny!)

I always forgot to go to the MAC store to buy the cleaning stuff for brushes. Maybe I'll go this week.
I listen now to Vangelis - 1492 The Conquest Of The Paradise, great music.

It was great seeing all my family down in Mobile a few weeks ago, under normal, planned conditions, such as a family reunion....although I would love to see them again this week, I'm hoping Isaac doesn't force them this way

    Neolithium I am Canadian, eh

Gotta hand it to Silvo. Picked some up at WalMart tonight and hit up both my Slim and FatBoy, cleaned them up nicely - I may even skip sending them off for replating and save myself the $160 for both of them.

Yeah.. there's a hurricane coming towards the United States Gulf Coast and it will make landfall between Louisiana and Mississippi - my home - on Wednesday, August 29th... the exact same day 7 years ago that Hurricane Katrina destroyed the Mississippi Gulf Coast and flooded much of New Orleans. This storm is 800 miles across in size and is expected to be a Category 2 when it makes landfall. Forecasts of 12 feet water surge, up to 16" of rain and a lot of tornadoes.
Y'all keep us and the rest of the Gulf Coast in your thoughts!

This one must going to be a duzzie, I checked weather for here in South Carolina over next 10 days, seems starting Monday night we will be getting rain for 7 days straight so I figure it must be coming off Hurricane Issac. Take care of yourself Jody and I wish you and all the folks on the gulf coast good luck and hopes everyone will be safe.

    In the middle, in Jackson.

The new track has it now going more west, giving Louisiana the brunt of it and curving around me instead of coming straight at me. We'll still get the East side of it since it is 800+ miles across. We'll get mostly the 12" to 16" of rain, storms and tornados - unless it changes track again.

Got it. Right after Katrina we lived in Columbia, which is just west of Hattiesburg. You and the rest of the land mass between New Orleans and Mobile will be in my prayers.
