Morning kids.

 

I was talking to my dad about taking a hunting trip somewhere. I have almost stopped hunting..which sucks big time.

It can be pretty expensive for out of staters to hunt big game here but birds are reasonable.

 

No sunshine here. Completely fogged over. Sort of nice, really.

I find it very hard to get out of bed when it's really warm and cozy. I hit snooze. That word looks so odd - snooze.

 

I love to Turkey hunt..and shooting praire dogs till I hurt is very appealing. You hunt much?

gonna give my Gem travel a whirl today - picked up some SE GEM by Personna blades at Walgreens....they don't say whether they're coated or not, but I'm going to assume so....wish me luck

wchnu - glad to hear your mom is doing better. CHF is awful.

Shawn - I agree on the smaller parties. I've had a few large ones here that involved a bottle of tequila and not waking until 3pm the next day :sick007 not fun cleaning up

I'll be in and out...just chillin' right now, but I've got errands and chores...yay.

Mainly just pheasant hunting for me. I have a 7 month old lab pup who is my new hunter. My 10 year old lab still loves to hunt but he pays for it the next 2 days. I had to trick him this year when I went. I pull my over-under 12 guage out of the rack and he goes nuts.

 

That is something I want to so,,, I shoot a pump gun for things like that. I have a 1969 model 870 Wingmaster..with the original 30" full choke barrel. Not good for steel at waterfowl but good for stuff like that. You should come squirrel hunt here some. I love to chase tree rats.

I use to squirrel hunt when I lived in NE. That is fun. Those little things can be tough to hit.

 

It isn't me that might get upset. If you catch my not so subtle drift.

 

I used to hunt rattlesnake when I lived in AZ. You want to talk about fun! A great way to keep in shape, too - hiking through the desert

With rattlesnake hunting you don't have to be the fasted person hunting do you? Just faster than one other person

 

That sounds right. As long as you can outrun one person you should be fine.
