Ok then, I know what you're talking about. I've been following that thread, really like seeing the 19th century and turn of the century razors. Can you use the drugstore SE blades in the old lather catchers? That'd be my only deterrent to buying one. I'm not a collector (although my wife would argue) and want to use the razors I own.

 

That is a g bar .. not bad shaving.., I prefer the older usually. but that head design is a great razor.

Never heard back from CF. Not a big deal anyway. Don't really like what I've seen.

I think T&H switched their sample system over in December. I did get a package exactly as you described from them around the middle of last year. Not sure if they're still doing them, but there's no harm in trying.

Hey Dom I just used the Slater's Sandlewood for the first time and... DAMN that is a nice shave. Easy as all get to lather. Basically explodes when you hit the water right. Went with the 1900 Superior again with some Barbasol Musk,
