Hey, went the whole month of January without buying anything shave related. One month to go.

 

Nice shave.,. I did remember right. I like JoAnna's cream. Lathers well and I get DSF from it. I put a pic up in SoS thread of the setup... yummy

The really small ones. Can't remember how big they are. Maybe half a cup? They fit soaps perfectly.

You could also get ceramic ramekins or glass Anchor bowls. Or even tins.

 

Me loves the raspberry.

Actually... anyone interested in an almost full bottle of SCS Savory Rose Cologne?

Goes to show that different things work for different people. I think JoAnna's soaps are amazing. I will definitely revisit her creams, though.

 

Ray all of JoAnna's soaps come in a container. They are big containers so you can just lather inside of them to load the brush.

 

How can you guys buy rose stuff? Floral scents are not for me. And my manhood is questioned by the wife daily.

Yeah Dom, the whole reason I am not buying is to thin the den some. So wife can't say "well look at all the shave stuff you buy" when I say something about her buying habits.

 

that is good to know Tracy. I only bought a couple soap samples from her. they come in a bag.

 

I should have sent you one of her soaps in the tub when I shipped you the creams. Sorry, I don't know why I didn't.

 

I really like the smell of rose. I assume it has to do with the fact that part of my family is Lebanese and rose water is used extensively in desserts. Might have been influenced by that. Maybe.

My girlfriend looks at me funny and gives me a hard time when I get new packages. I've also got a lot of stuff that I barely use. I'm trying to cut down to those that I really like. No point in having things that don't work well or that don't appeal to me as much as some of my other goods.

 

I have done a good job of getting rid of stuff that I dont like already. Unfortunately I still have a lot of stuff I do like.

 

I dont care for rose Ray. I enjoy smelling it but shaving is of course a different story. I think its built up ego makes it popular and its one of the most popular scents in the UK. Different strokes for different folks I guess. If love all scents honestly but they each have there uses. When I shave I like to smell the outdoors.....trees, earth, etc. The florals smell good but just cant seem to pull them off like some guys.

I'm trying this tonight, just so you know, I have it in the oven right now. It's really not that different from my normal recipe, except for the sausage. I also seem to have missed the BBQ rub, but everything else sounds good. actually used the leftover sausage/cream cheese mixture as a dip with some fritos....oh yeah, this is gonna be good!
