I think that if you like Clubman, that you would probably like Tabac. Not saying they're the same or even similar scents, but to me they both share a "classic" categorization. I hope that makes some sense. Although I don't have Clubman, I do know the smell and like it. Well, at least the talc that the barber brushes onto your neck...

As for lime, I'm not that big into the scent. I've tried two different lime aftershave balms/milks and both were just ....eh.... I have an Ogallala Bay Rum & Lemongrass that smelled of lemons, and I wasn't too big on it. Not bad, but not wowed either, and the Bay Rum scent was nonexistent. Now, I just got some of the Connaughts Lime from Tracy...that was nicer. More like I was cutting limes up.

 

I plan to finally try Tabac tomorrow. I got a sample from The Shave Den Store.

Guess you got the goodies huh? Did you try the GFT or the T&H? I prefer the GFT.

 

My RA just saved me from the biggest bug I've ever seen in my life. it was horrible

I've always just assumed it was the first thing everyone who joins these forums buys....

I used it again today for the first time in a long time. I've gotten so many samples of things, and new things, lately that some of my older soaps have gone unused for a while. As soon as I took the lid off, I was reminded how much I loved it....and it certainly didn't disappoint today.

Jen - use your shoes. Preferably when they're on your feet. STOMP!

Only pics I got were the regular tourist pics. I did get a pic in my buddies cop car. No good drunk as hell Shawn trying to do the chicken dance at 3 AM. Quite sober weekend actually. We ate too much last night at dinner and came home and watched the Bud Shootout......then went to bed Was some beautiful pictures though up in the mountains. I did shave with Speick SC and matching AS splash....very nice indeed!

 

What a great day. Fantastic weather. I nearly finished my wickiup and made much progress on my current bow. I think I'll start on a shave horse soon. Sure would make bow-making much easier.

Anyway, you should have seen the looks my neighbors gave me when they saw me digging a trench around the wickiup. Now their doubts are completely gone - I am the 'strange' neighbor.

What is a wickiup and why would you dig a trench around it? And a shave horse???

 

You're right. I had forgotten all about Uncle Buck. I bet he didn't make shaving soap!

The trench is obviously needed to channel water around it during rain. The wickiup is a type of primitive Native American housing that looks much like a dome shaped teepee (more like an igloo with no ice). I made a huge one - big enough for several adults. I think it will make an excellent sweat lodge.

I'm also dabbling in primitive bow-making and a shave horse is used much like a vice to hold wood in place so you can 'shave it' - shape wood into whatever such as handles. Try googling 'em for pics.

Hey ya Shawn welcome back... I kinda feel in love with the T &H.. I usede the trumpers this morning . Liked it a lot but not as good as the other. Have yet to use the Noxzema.
