that was a short week...

 

I really need to pickle some eggs...

 

I knew somebody was napping!

I can't nap much anymore either or I'm shot at night when it's time for bed. Toss and turn for hours. When I was in the Navy I could cat nap in an instant for as long as I could and then sleep fine at night. You got used to it after awhile. Being young prob. helps too.

 

Shep, when I worked as a caseworker in the State Pen I always ironed my clothes. This meant I always had to iron the wifes clothes as well.

Is you wife back to work? I thought she was having some back issues.

 

She came off light duty a month or so ago. Thanks for asking/remembering. Haven't heard her complain lately so things must be on the mend. Part of her prob. is she's carrying too much weight (aren't we all???), but there's no way in hell I'm gonna be the one to say it! You wanna try?

I did not mean a whole week. Just part of a week. Anyway, I got a whole frickin' case of movies. So, I have been sitting on my butt all weekend watching them. Also been watching the crazyness that is Ebay. This whole lazyness thing might be from that package I got from Hawaii.............

 

Isn't that because there's no school today??? Being Presidents Day and all...

Ha! Good one. You know she still hasn't said anything. I might have gotten away w/ one there. Still looking for the camera so I can get a pic up. Gotta find that thing......

 

In his case, that is probably true. However, a lot of schools around here had school today to make up some of our flooding days, freezing -20 below before wind chill days, or freakish blizzard days. My school stayed off and we are just going to plan on going straight through till next school year (literally... summer school starts the same day school is out and summer school ends when school starts up again)

 

Uh, nope. I wish that were true (I could have used the day off) but no, we had business as usual today. Our school doesn't believe in presidents.

 

PHX kids don't get the benefit of snow days. They do however get numerous days off for In-Service and other administrative functions. All I know is I like holidays because all the school zone speed limits I drive through on my way to the highway are regular speed.

 

Huh. Weird. Schools here are closed today. I think we had Pres. Day off when I was growing up, but that was awhile ago so I'm not sure.

 

The wife didn't have school today. They believe in Presidents here, must be because our 3 electoral votes have been so helpful in elections

 

But hey...you all gave the world Cheney. Talk about .

 

Ah yes, good ole boy Dick Cheney.

I've been around all weekend and it's been kinda slow like this Rolls. Three day weekend and everyone is out playin' I think. They seem to get busy at night though when we old timers are in bed.
