I melted and poured the soap into an old muffin pan. Made 2 smallish pucks of it. Worked fine.

 

Oh yeah, I got your PM, glad it made the trip ok. Hope you like it. I saved enough for a few shaves for myself.

 

Good! It's some good smelling soap. I just completed my first razor repair I got in another Old style, as one of the buttons on the one I had is bent beyond hope. I went to screw the thing together and had a handle seperation. It's all better after a bit of super glue. I hoped I wouldn't have to go get out the welder.

 

you could try some 2 part epoxy next time.

 

It'll probably fall apart on me some day in the future. We all are in pcs by the time we are around 80 years old

I am enjoying the Provence Sante. I don't get the "green tea" but, it is a nice light scent.

Yeah... that and a lot of us get up insanely early. Well... its 5:08 just saying good morning before taking dog out and heading to school to take kids to competition.

 

Morning Justin. I got up early and read for about an hour. Raining pretty hard so was reluctant to get out of bed. Good day to do nothing really. I find myself gravitating toward Tabac alot lately. The stuff really works wonders. I still have a little bit of the IK Bong gave me left so I might pull that back out. I have got almost 8 shaves out of a 7 oclock black and still feels great? Freak blade I guess.

I keep losing track of blades after a few shaves.

 

I swore off the black pack blades and suddenly had a change of heart. the first shave is brutal and then is smooths out. I have a light beard and 7 shaves is the average for most blades. Feathers I get about 3 good shaves and then it goes to hell quick! Those 3 shaves are very, very good but damn the blade tells you quick that its time to stop! I am not buying anymore blades for a while though. I have a years worth right now...mostly the 7 oclock yellows.

 

I hear you, I was going to get a few black packs but forgot the preorder. Just as well.

I will be set for years. Between DE's SE's and Straights I shouldn't need for a long long time.

 

I might get some more with my next TSD order. They are only a little bit more than the group buy price anyways. I am glad that I am over the blade experimenting days. That got pretty ugly and really hacked the hell out of my face with some god awful blades. So bad I wouldnt even PIF them fearing reverse karma on me one day:happy102

 

someone should make a box knife or letter opener that takes DE blades

You sure you are done testing? I have some tiger ones that are supposed to be DA BOMB

 

tigers.....have you tried them yet? I will try anything but some just tore me up. I also should consider revisiting some as well. nah....Really should be able to stick to one or 2 types of blades....and a ton of of soaps and creams:happy102
