Hiya Bong! I tried out the Spellbound Woods. The glyicerine soap was a bit tricky but got it to lather as good as it smells. Maybe beat up on that puck of William's next time. Maybe I can get it to lather now too! (practice practice practice)

Glad it's up to your liking. You should have good water in WI. Do you have issues with getting good lather?

I can not for the life of me figure out why people have problems with Williams. Then I think about the fact that I have been using it or Colgate pucks for most of the last 20 years. Just started using the other things since I found these forums 5 or 6 months ago. Guess I have had my williams practice.

I have very hard water with lots of iron. It does effect the way soap works.

I'm just "lather challenged" I guess. It was the first soap I tried to use and I'm thinking that it was mostly newbie error.

I've been cleaning up grandpa's razors today.

    3) 9/16 George Wolstenholm and Son, Sheffield - England
    4) 5/8 Wester Bros. Booster
    5) 4/8 Bowdin's Art 300 (also a wedge for the most part)
    6) 5/8 Stiletto; Blade etched with Celebrated Hollow Ground; a little crack in the toe, above the edge by 1/8"

Okay, so my dilemma is that I've got to choose one to send to a gent that kindly PIF'd me a free honing. Any suggestion?

    Oh, and Hi Ms. E!

Hey Fuzzy, I like that one a lot. It's got a really thin hollow ground blade and sings nicely... Also, there's a goil on the scales!

Tom, #3 The wolstenholm razors are pretty well made and shave well. If it looks ok, I'd say give that one a shot, I have 2 Wolstenholm's one needs the bevel set, the other is one I use to shave with.

Tom, the black check looking symbol on the tang of the GFW shows that's a pipe razor, those are pretty highly regarded.
