Argh. it's done. Sink is back in it's proper place, but not without a few snags.

First off, the pop-up pipe has a leak just below where the pop-up linkage. I didn't discover that until I had everything reassembled and installed. Some plumber's putty fixed that little problem. No way was I going to dismantle the thing again.

Second snag was my own fault. I bought a long-handled faucet, because I thought it looked cool and retro. Those handles now block off the rest of what little space there was for hand soap, shaving mug, etc. So I went out and got one of those suction cup shelves to put above the sink. I end up with more space now than when this whole mess started.

So anyway, it's up, it's working, and I was finally able to eat lunch, shower, and shave.

Nice job on the sink Dark. Did you say that's your shave sink? Where the heck do you put all your stuff??? I need counter-space when I shave.

Nice sink, dude! That looks like it was loads of fun (not). It's always good when it's over though, and hey, you got a great shelf out of the deal. Way to go!

I'm just inhaling lunch again before a mad dash back to work... Looks like you're all having a fun day. Question: how do y'all get any work done (assuming you're at work) when you're poking around in here all day, or is that the point?

Oh, almost forgot - I picked the straight to send to Sham - it'll be the Wostenholm after all...

I got a bill in from my water department last month that was 3 times what I had been paying. The reading was like 15whaterver the number was... I went to the meter and it said 19whaterver them number is. So I went to the City Hall in this half horse power town I live in. <I love it though>, There answer was that they would have someone to come out and calibrate the meter.

So the other day I get a bill in that says 15whaterverthenumbers are. Now it is obvious to me that it is not the reading of my meter if the numbers are that far off. I had spoken to them just a few weeks ago and was assured that the water would not be turned off until the problem was fixed.. call me hard headed cause I am, but I am not going to pay a bill that is obviously not mine. then have to try to get a refund. Well today they cut the water off.

I called them and they are turning it back on and having the meter reader go get a true reading.. we did that last month also..I was there when he got there.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR. This is the kind of thing that pushes my buttons. The roomies are on my behind cause the water is off..... 10 years ago I would have literally kicked the door to the water dept open when I had to go back. I have mellowed some in my old age. So after I go see them in the morning I may need someone to call Dog to come bail me out.angry037:transport024

 

Hey Shep - read you're IM review; nice work. Question: when you say "milled down", exactly what do you mean (I'm picturing a cheese grater and a grimace, but that's probably not right :ashamed001 ).

Fuzzy, after being on the run for 3 years, is finally getting tracked down by dog. However, he has outsmarted the Dog for 2 weeks.

On a whim Dog realizes the bunny is into wet shaving.

Dog "Yes this is such and such from the GEM razor company"

Fuzzy "Sweet, I didn't know such a person existed"

Dog "Oh yes, we are still around and you have won a lifetime supply of GEM razors"

Fuzzy "Great, here is my address"

Case solved.

 

I'm painting a "Free The Bunny" sign now - when do we march?

 

Passes the canned goo, bad news razor and the viking hat to Bunny, git 'em!

 

Previously the mug and brush would go on the the right side of the sink. Razor on the little ledge on the left. Soaps would be out to soak as I showered, then went back in the medicine cabinet after loading up. other stuff came in and out of storage as needed.
