Been there done that. What's fun is falling of the top of a Semi-Trailer and landing on the concrete on your tail bone.
Worst truck story I have is blowing out the top of one when I was a newb. Never, NEVER raise the forks INSIDE the trailer. You'd think it was common sense...
Did quite a bit of heavy lifting and ladder work yesterday. Lots of weird angles and tugging and pulling, you know, typical IT crap-work. About 3:00 am this morning went to roll over in bed and woke up howling in pain. I hurt from the crown of my head to the middle of my back. I can barely move. And I'm on a deadline. Got a buttload to do. Expecting to work late this evening and come in and work all day tomorrow, even though I'm supposed to be off.
Sounds like the bored housewives complaining about their husbands episode of Oprah, actually. Just substitute a different word for "IT." Feel better!
Got my first batch of Canadian Blonde Lager in the fermenter. WOO! It was a Coopers kit so I added about 500g extra of Dextrose and DME so everything should be a bit better than the original ingredients.
I'm home watching the Giants game, cold beer in hand. My daughter is going to LA this weekend with her brother and wife. Kickin' back.
Higher content (Probably around 6-6.5%) and definitely more flavour. I was going to add some extra hopps but I'll do that next time after I see how this turns out, plus I have a few other batches I want to try before starting to experiment.
Arg... hating FedEx right now. Driver chose not to leave package that I need for tomorrow, so now I have to drive across town in rush hour to pick it up at their hub.
When I first started working, I didn't understand a co-worker who said he couldn't afford a vacation, even if he stayed at home. Then I got married, bought a house, had kids and otherwise grew up. Now that I'm taking a two week "stay-cation", I am reminded of this conversation and cursing the ease of online shopping.... Please excuse me while I jump over to the straight razor section and educate myself on honing...
Having some new friends (plus their 3 boys) over tonight for burgers. * fingers crossed * it goes well.
For sure! One's 18 and the others are 14-year-old twins. I also made a cold penne pesto salad. Chocolate cake (bought) for dessert with some cut fruit.
True...although I can see a slight resemblance to me in my avatar—but in realty, I rarely shave with one eye closed.
