My deepest condolences on the loss of your father. It sounds like he was a remarkable man & wonderful father and role model. What a blessing that you were able to spend time together before his sudden death. My thoughts are with you & your family. May the wonderful memories you have of your Dad bring you some comfort during this incredibly difficult time.

In completely unrelated news, I've got the high bid on a Fujitsu ST5112! Just 4.5 hours left on the auction, hopefully I'll win it. It's already got all the upgrades I would have done to it and if I win it at the current bid, I'll be saving about $90 in upgrades!

In even more unrelated news, Mrs. 1_8 was changed to full time! Woohoo!

I've had better days.

Had a presentation for a group of clients. Went bad. Some of the clients in bad mood. Killed the mood of the others.
Back at the office we had a row about that (and some other things).
Next I sat down on my glasses. Beyond repair.

Luckily I've got my family and you guys & gals!

 

Ouch! I just hope you didn't do as much damage to your bottom as you did to your glasses.

 

My day was surprisingly good. Had a good shave with new soap. Bid a nice little lawn renovation, which I got, so whoohooo for some work. And to top it all off I found $50 in the middle of the road, no one around to return it to, no houses for miles. So I guess I get to have some good luck. Not sure how to try and find it's owner, so I bought a tube of KMF Lavender and Shea Butter for $4.99!

 

Sorry to hear, Mike. Sounds like a miserable day indeed. Just curious... what kind of presentation was it?

Also... maybe the Minions will lend you a pair of goggles... hopefully, the two-eyed kind.

 

We haven't met Mike in person. Are you sure he needs the 2-eyed goggles?

This is the one I sat upon. I rebent it a bit and sellotaped a glass back in to be able to wear the remains for the remainder of the day...


Still some luck: the local optician has a 35 year anniversary. 1 glass for free - in combination with a frame. It's a difference.

 

Neon green? I mean, how did you *not* see them?! Oh, wait, you didn't have your glasses on.

 

That, plus I don't have eyes on my lower back side...

 

That's why Minions have to Xerox their bottoms. They can't see them otherwise.

 

Bummer.

Edit: but you don't need a xerox to see your bum? Supple!
