Things have been insane for that last couple of weeks...work, school, the baby that's coming...just total insanity around my place! This weekend was the first one I have had to sit back and relax. I cleaned the fish tank, fed my little puffer...he comes and eats out of my hand now ..and had all my guppies ticking my arm as I did tank maintenance. I loved it! I went and saw Les Miserables with my wife on Friday, then had a late dinner....that was the first night we spent away from our kids in months I think. (Its a great movie by the way....very true to the book....which is a must read!!!!!) And...tonight, after an amazing Lamb and potato dinner, I installed an HTC Sense (3.6) based ICS rom on my wife's Incredible S....because Bell (here in Canada...) doesn't believe in updating software for some of the devices. Needless to say it has been a great weekend!
bgdaaaa....car overheated yesterday. May be down to one vehicle. No bueno...especially since my wife is starting classes next week at the college 30 minutes away. Not sure what we're gonna do. It may be something simple...but it may not. Have to wait and see. On top of that, had to work about 7 hours today (hello, over time ) Big storm this morning (how did I miss it, sounds like the kind I'd enjoy. I usually wake up for them...must have happened during the 37.5 minutes I actually did sleep last night) apparently had it's way with our network. Not sure what's wrong, boss is scratching his head, everything we've thought of has checked out, but still no connection. Gonna be an interesting day tomorrow with no network, no wireless, no internet, no phones....yay
Well...it's Monday, and I'm already nearly at half my hours for the week at work But, network's back up - the two campuses directly affected by the lightning are barely up by a string, but they're up. Main component in the core switch had gone bad, not sure if it's lightning damage (don't see any signs of such), or just amazing coincidental timing, but it's back up now. Car's still sitting waiting for me to have time to look at it some more...maybe tomorrow. And I'm hungry. Half a pop-tart and coffee for breakfast at 7:15am, lunch at 6:30pm...time for a bowl of cereal methinks
actually, we did get 1/1024 of an inch on Christmas day and we did get some sleep, hail, and freezing rain today. It's not enough to hardly mention, but it is enough to cause the sellout of water, milk, bread, etc at Wal-Mart
Batteries exploded in the thermostat, and now it isn't playing nice. Gotta buy a new one cuz I like heat. Dang, got scared there for a second. Thought it heard me talking bad about it and died again. I best stop.
17 days to make 60 posts! Not sure I'm gonna make it. But I have heat! Yay new thermostat! Thank goodness cuz we're suppose to be getting a bunch of snow today.
We're having a seriously carpy day. Pipe burst in the wall near the kitchen. We found it because water was pooling near the kitchen table. Water's turned off and we're waiting for the plumber. Insurance claim is filed. Daughter went to the doctor for immunization shots. During the checkup the doctor told us she has worms and the whole family has to be treated. And I have a long list of stuff to do for work. This day sucks.
