Bummer, JoAnna. Hope power's up again by now! It makes one realise we're totally dependable on electricity. But that doesn't make if any fun of course!
Last winter when I was on exercise in Wainwright, it was -58F On a lighter note. 4 routers and 11 switches were scheduled for replacement. Guys dropped them off, hooked them up and wiped the old ones. Think they were smart enough to not back them up so we could just move the configs over? COURSE NOT. So all 15 devices are now up and running, my eyes are crossed and I'm going to sit down with a bottle of rum.
OMG!!!!! In somewhat related news, I did learn that you can flash freeze a human in about 5 hours providing a core temp of -10 F and an ambient temp of -40 F. They're still working on the minor niggle called death. But, that's a minor technicality.
We had a blasting day yesterday ! We had elections, so it a day off and the weather was absolutely fabulous . Went to movies with the kids, then to an asian restaurant with the kids and wife. After a refreshing "schlaf stunde" we went to vote and the kids put the envelope in the ballot box and had fun. Well, back to work today.
Hey everybody! Dunno where I have been. But things are OK. Nothing too exciting. I just haven't been on forums hardly at all in the last many moons. I was just going through the blogs that I follow and saw that Micah had posted another pic. It was a nice prize to find in the backlog of stuff from the day. Well Done! Anyway, seeing Micah's post reminded me that it has been ages since I have been here. So aylo to all!
It's just to cold to think about doing anything! Just took out the trash for pickup tomorrow and went to buy today's lottery tickets. Feet are still freezing!! Going down to 3F tonite; 1F tomorrow.
