Ya these are pretty popular this time of year and they're getting great reviews. I like them for doing a quick hoof down to the grocery store...

In the course of getting my Mom moved to her senior care facility(real nice place), I'm claiming some of her current furniture, one of which is a small couch(could pass for a loveseat I suppose). To make room for it, my cleaning lady and her tall strong son came over to get rid of my current one. Since I'm on the 3rd floor, the routine procedure for such furniture is to bring it to the balcony and toss it down to the ground. Then take it to the dumpster. Couch gone, new one to come on my Mom's moving day. The son threw it over the railing, his Mom had to be at ground level to keep people out of harm's way. In a few days, they'll be back to do same with my bedroom bureau,as I'm getting the house guest-room bureau.

 

Cool story. I did not know that was how apartment people got rid of furniture. Very much a work smart, not hard thing.

 

Got my car fiixed (minor repair covered by the warranty) & then took my Mom to the doctor. Glad to be home.

 

Looks like @PickledNorthern is having a cozy day.

It's been a good, productive day. This morning, I made a batch of garlic ghee. Later, I went for an archery lesson. I just got back & polished my release (which is solid brass) with some Flitz. It's nice & shiny now.

Yesterday was a busy day.
The car went in for an oil change and tire rotation.
I had a couple of home improvement things going on, as I was online at Home Depot I noticed that they will pull everything I needed to order and have it ready in 2 hours. Free service. That saved me an hour or more.
I bought a new barbecue that I put together, grilled up some steaks, corn on the cob and my lovely wife made a fantastic cucumber salad.
Well it was 95F while I was sitting next to a hot grill, threw back a couple of cold ones and eat.
I went to bed at 7pm last night, not sure how that happened but it felt great.

Just such people who live on the top floor and have a balcony. It was recommended by the manager. Saves the trouble of pushing it down 3 flights of stairs.

 

Glad it is....I did miss it while tryinta sign on last night.

 

Ya but you have to admit the down message was quite polite for a message..maybe even a tad canuckish. The full Moose would read more like..We're terribly sorey an unexpected database error has occurred. Would you please try again later, if it's not too much trouble. Once again we're really very sorey..but have yourself a super nice day..eh...

 

There's always room for improvement, eh?

That's only funny cuz it's true..

 

I just added 2 more smart plugs to the smart home setup. They were really easy to set up.

On the inside flap of the box (that the smart plugs came in) was the following;
A brown box, once closed
Opens like a new blossom
Revealing a delight.

I love a literate packing box.

 

On this Saturday, I'll be moving my bureau to the dumpster to make space for the one from my Mom's house. Both new items(that and the couch)will be delivered on Menthol Monday,(they'll be offloaded from the van used to deliver my Mom's furniture to her new place).

 

Bet they'll be lots of mints left in that couch..
